I actually meant: Is it an add on? It doesn't look to have been removed, the metal work doesn't line up w/ anything.

And is WIDER then the deck space it's covering, so that 'wing' pillar doesn't line up w/ the cabin structure I guess it's supposed to rest on:

For a giant steel 55yr old boat it's hull looks like it is in great shape

Yeah good eye, most boat builders don't make supports from what ever is laying about. That things made with 2x4's, 2x6's and 4x4's.

Yah, totally agree! I'd highly doubt it includes the trailer in the photo so that would be a spendy add on. But at $3k you sure can't go wrong. That monster would make a great project.

You & Bryon should go partners on that build. That big old steel tub would make a great anchor for the first ever US~UK Starcraft raft-up off the coast of Greenland

I really like that for some strange reason....
I know, right?

Certainly odd, weird, funky. But I like it too. Esp since it's a 'pocket' cruiser:

A 16ft'r and ALL north of the border. :canada:

How far is it to Oklahoma for you or Dozer? Based on the SC member map, it could be an underground railroad mission to get it north to the border.

Those Aeroliner boats were built here in Winnipeg till they went out of business a few years ago I see them for sale quite often on kijiji winnipeg, some of them are collectors now.

Hey, I didn't say using them elsewhere was a bad thing, it just is, eh?

Carp, it be a long row to hoe if I had to adapt to metric for construction purposes. Everywhere else, yep, I could live w/ that change over.

My little 250cc motorcycle would have been rated for a mind blurring 165kph, instead of a measly 100mph, and that's just plain ole fast, I don't care who you are......

I advocate the metric system for measuring resin volumes for epoxy & polyester all the time over in the choke & die glasser threads.................

Ya... imperial is good for some things like a 2x4 or 2x6 vs the metric equiv.... but overall, it really is waaaay better/easier to not have to work with fractions! I like saying I have a 3.0 motor or the sound of a five point O stang... just sounds good.... but then again saying have a 427 cobra is way cooler than the metric equiv!!! So us Canukers are usually able to convert things as necessary to basically sound cooler! :)

As they say "metric rules, imperial drools..." :)
