Yeah, NO idea, but it's been referred to as an aluminum Jules Verne, Flash Gordon or Buck Rodger's craft in several different forums since 2009. NO firm ID.......

no, i think it's the Beatles' Yellow Submarine....needing a bit of paint. but i like it.

interesting hull design, remniscient of the Hickman Sea Sled, which became the basis for the Whaler hull.

Hickman Sea Sled was referenced on a few of the sites that it's popped up on........ It may have even been a prop for a movie.....

I was thinking the guy who owns that boat has good taste seeing that airstream back there and then I focused in on that rotten glasser...

Hey - Chief - The first two have the same CL link. The pic for the #1 looks like a decent one. WLOD????? Something something Out Drive? You found a couple of good ones in the last two.

GA are you losing it?

White Leg of Death.

It's a crusty Mercruiser. Or painted the hull color, but still crusty. No OMC parts on her. Hence the confusion.

Sorry Ga, fixed the link for ya :)

Yeah, someone painted their mercruiser white...maybe to keep tin-thieves away? :noidea:

Looking at the hardware I believe that mystery Chief to be a '74 18 footer. I think a lot of them sold with 115 Mercs standard. Bunch of cool boats you found, BF. The lines on those early-mid 70s Islanders are sweet...someday

Thanks, Blue. The #1 Chief looks like a good one, even needing cabin work. I got confused about the WLOD reference.

Ok, I give up......somebody found the project boat of all project boats. I quit, that's it! That boat is just too cool......

Yea, that is a fantastic ride. It would be quite the eye popper refinished and on the water.
