Interesting. I bet this all started with the wrong length steering cable

I dunno fellas, the concept is kinda cool. I'm thinking if he would have taken the windshield off and not made hack job of the rest of the
boat he would have had something there ya know.

Might be awkward while underway but trolling along and the extra space would be nice. Maybe.

Is that one over priced! Looks like a gut job to me. Up to $219 with 22 bidders.

It's doubtful that it will reach reserve. In upstate SC,aluminum boats don't sell well unless they're jon boats.

$5K for 31 feet of running alum?

That's a pretty darn good deal in my book!:thumb:

That looks like the one you inquired about or looked at a few Moons ago. And sitting on a yard trailer, not a road trailer.

Yah, that one was a 28 footer, which I think is actually still sitting down Detroit way.

That's not bad.... with a 35 hp 4 stroke you could get to Cunningham's for just a couple bucks.....

Looking at that Mariette I think the style is a bit too dated for me... neat boats but just not the right shape for my taste..... I think IF I do actually make that plunge it's gonna have to be a big SC... straight inboard doesn't do it for me either... too unforgiving for a trailer boater with crappy ramps.... thinkin single I/O

If it helps, the Admiral didn't know this was coming:

Hey - Is that the big heavy motor SOTW needs for his new pontoon. It's got the right attitude...or is that altitude. :)

Great big steel Chris Craft....

1965 Chris Craft 33' Steel Roamer

Under $5K? Not too shabby. It isn't a trailer boat but it's something eh.

That is a damn good price if it's a true steel hull and has no damage or rust through.Fairly shallow draft to boot.If I remember correctly, steel hull CC are rare and hard to find. The right buyer would probably pay tens of thousands for that boat, especially if she's lived in fresh water all her life.
