Ya know you could grab that one Jas, and I notice your list of boats is missing an 18ft.

Nope, I'm still on the field.

I think I'm going to the snack bar and drowned my sorrows in a soft pretzel. Unbelievable.

Yup, I'm gong to cry for sure.

GameonSalmon - I'm from Dryden Ontario - ran across someone selling what I think is a '70s Supersport, outboard model - about 18 feet long - running but in fairly shabby shape - not what I'm looking for so I did't take a close look at it. If you are interested, send me a pm with pics of the boat you are looking for - if it seems to be the same boat, I'll put you in touch with the sellers.

Peter

Peter,
Thank You, I am looking for a 22' Super Sport V5 made in 1978 and 1979. That is the open bow model with 2 strakes under it vs one. Smooth down the side..No Lapstrakes above the Chine. I am dead set on a 22', If that one is 18 i will pass. But I want to thank you a ton.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Yeonik,
That Rude..is in fact a Upgraded Model... However, Its early 70's and the Control box connected to it is even older... Not even a 2 Stage controls for the Rude/Johnson. The question is.. What is the Compression? Around here in idaho.. That motor would bring $800 in running condition...

So not blowing smoke persay... but a 1978 - 81 Rude 85 hp with Stainless 13 3/8 x 17p OMC prop would Smoke it... Just saying..

I have a 21' Starcraft Mariner right now with a 79 85 HP Rude on it, with a Stainless OMC and it runs 42 mph trimmed up with no Jack Plate.

No different then when the XP, The Fastrike and all that jazz hit the market...

Hope that helps..
Robert

This is Right in JASON'S BACK YARD...SHEESHH

Dammit.. This one is a Steal.. Talked to this Guy on the Phone Today... I just can justify $1200 in FUEL to go pick it up or I would... He is asking $2800 with Downriggers and will Take $2200 without those and a new battery.

One Bitchin... 1979 V5 Hardtop Islander... The outboard on the back is not set up right either.. Just FYI, a little tuning and that would be one awesome Boat... Anyone want to TOW THIS to IOWA FOR ME or CHEYENNE WYOMING? I pay all FUEL + $200

Here it is....
1979 Starcraft Islander 22'

Do you think it will get on plane with a 70?

it will plane..but top speed will be about 22 mph...and 100 hours later that engine will Blow Up IMHO.

It needs a 150 Minimum on the back... and a 175 or 200 Johnson Fast stike or Johnnyrude XP

If i was setting that boat up... it would get a 175 Fast Strike on a 15 Inch Jack Plate... with a Stainless Prop
then you got a Machine...
