That looks like a real nice Marinette, Roscoe. Well equipped, too.

Does the motor seem a little low? The power head is almost in the water...

thats because he used a 20" shaft motor.... those conversions need a 25" shaft outboard.......i can easily see his power head getting swamped.

Bob, I would call that guy if I were you.... Since I am an outboard guy evinrude/Johnson that is the right look for that year on that mortor. however...Man Is it thirsty. But for the money... at $2500 you cant go wrong...

I would ask him what the compression on that engine is...since he is "Projecting It" he should know. That engine has high compression heads on it...and its a Screamer.. that boat has got to do close to 60mph plus with a Stainless cupped Prop.

If i was on that side of the country... I would already be at his house.

True?

A 1988 Center console 24ft'r doesn't show up in the iboats boat specs for Starcraft...... It may be the Starmadian mythical beast....

Wow, just drug home the 22ft V5 less then 10days ago & then of course there was this:
I think i hit my limit, three is enough all at about the same stage too!! ill probably keep all three too!, but no more aditions( unless its a flip deal) or unless i pick up a little 12 or 14 footer for rowing around...

bob
3 days later....

Bob, in case it isn't obvious to you: You may have a problem :watermelon:

To be clear, its a space problem, not a boat problem. And how do you hide a 24ft 4th boat from the Admiral? Full size camo gillie suit?

JB,
That V5 wouldnt happen to be a Super Sport would it? and If it is, are you interested in Flipping it? I am looking for one as we speak, even posted above your post earlier about one.

Thanks Robert

You should have been looking a few months ago Robert, I scooped one up only a few hours from you from Gibbles and took her up to Canada.

he was talking about me just bringing a 22 ft V5 home last week....its a 1978 too...but it is a holiday... as for the 24 footer...I was questioning wether they ever made a non cheiftan-islander boat that went past 22 feet..... maybe it is a cheiftan cut down!! bob

1978 Starcraft Holiday 18ft

Bet this guy would love to see this go to a fellow iboater that would finish it up.

Just so detached from it and uninterested in it, rather cut my losses and pickup a nice little fishing boat that will be easy to handle with the kiddos.

The seller should at least include a link to his restoration thread so that the buyer can see that this isn't your typical hacked rebuild found on CL!

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Just over it. Its more boat than I want to deal with now, all I want is a 14ft rig I can take the kids out pan fishing in. So trying to get motivated on working on this just isn't happening.
