ok this is my first time posting and i really like this site, Im learning alot from reading all this starcrafth projects, really awesome guys. any who what you guys think about this 18ft dude asking for 2000obo. how much would you guys pay for this boat? also can you guys tell if this is an open bow or close bow? thanks

Welcome aboard. From his ad "1974 Starcraft 18 foot Deep-V, Walk --Thru Windshield", I take as an Super Sport bowrider. And judging by the bow rails, it looks open to me and very SSish. Is it worth $2k? Hard to say without seeing her and no interior shots. Worth OBO? It never hurts to dicker.

C---pretty sure that's an open bow (SS). i've never seen bow rails on a Holiday. and yeah, if transom and floors are good and motor is OK, 2 grand isn't a bad price

C---pretty sure that's an open bow (SS). i've never seen bow rails on a Holiday. and yeah, if transom and floors are good and motor is OK, 2 grand isn't a bad price

If it's a Walk-thru windshield, probably is an open bow, maybe an SS:

But my 18' Holiday has an operable center section & a bow rail:

But it's all about condition. Mine was intact, but rough.... So it was @10% of that seller's asking... If it's in great shape, $2k may be reasonable.

EDIT: I don't know though, this pix kinda looks like there's closed bow running back to the windshield:

^^^ Windshield is too far back for a Holiday. Pretty sure it's an SS.

$2,000 would be a good deal, but try for a better one.

thanks for the reply guys. im going to give him a call again as im looking for an 18ft open bow and don't want to drive 3.5 hr for something i don't want but it look like a good boat for the price i asked for. thanks again guys

This boat runs good but the power trim lift was stolen.

Is he saying the trim pump? I see the cylinders. I guess he can get $4K in scrap.

This looks like a gas and go fishing rig. And he doesn't say "FIRM" like the first one. Maybe his $5000 is a better deal for mid-strata feeders.
