Does anyone know where the tachometer should be connected to on this particular model?

Does your remote control box have a plug in connector below the ignition switch? If so, there is a 3 plug tach wiring harness you can buy to make a tach connection very simple. If not, I believe there are wires inside the control box you use to wire a tach.

If no external connector on controls, then gray (tach sense), purple (12v when ignition on), & black (ground) found in short pigtail inside controls.

I think what you are referring to as a "fuse holder" is the tach. connection. There shouldn't be any fuses there.

How accurate is it? Would I have to buy any linkage for it?

Just connect 3 wires (4 if you want it to light up at night). I would assume it's very accurate cause it's new.

Are tachometers pretty standard for outboards or are they all calibrated differently and have different wiring configurations?
