Do #1, but, yes, that nonsense coldest winter was summer in SF is 100% true... strangely so

While away @ #1, don't go down to the boat club in Sausalito. Boats there are made of Un-Attain-ium, the rarest precious metal, right behind SC tin & tin alloy headed into an SC foundry

RE: #2, alas, I can offer no counsel...

I made the call today @ the 18' Holiday (?SC for sure) I posted earlier this week in Cincinnati. Seems I need to go make a post in the how far for an SC thread Looks like my # is 6hrs 1way...

There's also Merc120 donor boat in the mix, but I'm not up for 2 12hr round trips this weekend....

but the quiet little voice of logic cannot be heard over the loud convincing voice of MBS...

the quiet little voice is anoying anyways...

Loud voice tells me I need more parking, not enough cement in my back yard and I need to get to work...

dang.

Loud voice also says when winter hits and cabin fever sets in... you need to get out now, and a road trip would get you out.

That would, of course, free up some real estate in the driveway, or out front..... Yeah, that's because she wouldn't need a car any longer....

1958 Starcraft Speedster 12' Aluminum Boat - $495 (Lexington, VA)

Started restoration of 1958 Starcraft Speedster aluminum boat but have stalled for work on another boat. Classic boat originally had a bow deck, steering and wooden seats. Original specifications rated the 160 pound craft for outboards up to 35 hp! I contacted Starcraft to get new capacity plate and they now rate the boat for 25 hp as the hp ratings for outboards changed from crank hp to prop hp in 1983. I have one original seat/flotation box and will include 2 oak bench seats that need some trimming to fit. The boat needs gunwale trim on the upper edge of the sides. Many of the 1958 originals had wooden gunwales (see brochure photo) or a functional gunwale can be made out of conduit piping. I will sell the boat "as is" for $495 or offer with a "like new" Bandit trailer with new tires for a total of $895. Both boat and trailer have Virginia title. ​
