CB, good luck.. Would say catch ya on the Cumberland sometime, seeing as I'm in Clarksville, but can't say I've ever seen a sailboat on the Cumberland River...

Thanks. I have seen a few sailboats on the Cumberland! But we used to love taking 'the boat that busted' out on the river in Ashland City, usually at Doziers, or put her in the water in Nashville and take the 25 mile trip up to Ashland City. The kids loved how secluded the river was, (hah! cept for the barges!) and how good the skiing was on the river!

here is my daughter learning to kneeboard on the Cumberland behind 'the boat that busted'!

Hehe, thats cool. Well, if ya ever feel like sailing to Cumberland City one weekend, yell. I normally put in either there or Cross Creeks/Elk Harbor, which is right up the road.

They were a no show. kinda anti climatic. I wanted to win, but not by default. Anyway, this would have been their fourth trip to Nasvhille for this suit (almos 400 miles round trip). With gas prices being what they are, it would have been about 100 bucks, and another 300 if they brought the mechanic, and a day off work.....

Or maybe they finally realized they got thrown a bone in General Sessions Court in the fall.

It's over! Thanks for all the support and suggestions. I hope this thread has provided education, wisdom and entertainment for all that have read it and posted here.

This thread will probably die out soon now, but hope someone posts to it once in awhile to bring it back on top for newbies. (Oh, that and I want to hit 50K hits! I remember when I was shocked it had 12K....lol!)

WOW - what a saga!!

I've gone through this with a Harley Davidson many years ago and it was a headache.

Glad that in the end...what was RIGHT seemed to prevail.

Is there a boat sales contract posted anywhere on this site? Even when I sell cars I make a contract even though a signed title is all that is needed. I sold a motorcylce and had the same issue. It was just a carb fix so I fixed it for free.
