Trust me when I tell you that you have nothing to worry about. They have no case at all. Sometimes a lawyer will charge a couple of hundred bucks to send a letter to scare you and others, will charge the same for a one time phone call to do the same. If you get the letter or the call, simply notify the attorney that "YOUR" lawyer advised you not to speak to him directly but rather to have them direct all correspondence to him (your attorney). Watch how fast they go away. Any attorney worth his or her salt knows they have no case.

LOL, guess you didn't have a couple hours to read the whole thread. I agree with you, any attorney worth their salt knows they have no case. But they didn't have an attorney, and the case already DID go to court, but not in front of a judge. AND I LOST!

(I appealed and the new court date is in June)

But thanks for the encouragement Nightstalker!

Nice looking sailboat there C.B. We're thinking of selling one of the powerboats and getting a sailboat with maybe a small outboard, too. But the cost of a slip might offset the price of fuel and the advantages for us of trailering to different bodies of water, although if gas prices keep rising it won't be true for long. Once again, nice boat. Congrats.

How manny skiiers can you get up with that yamaha?? one time it took me too long to get to the lake and i can tell that it took to long because when i got there it was gone. So i never really got there cause when i did "get there" there was no lake! So it was tough cause i never really got there cause it was gone! Goes to show you what can happen if you dont get there quick enough! What can end up happening is that when you get there you never get anywhere cause the lake is gone! So moral of the story is: if the lake is gone then you dont really go anywhere cause when you get there you never really get there cause its gone!

The moral of the story I read was not to sell things to white trash!

Which story are you talking about?

Re: sold a boat and it busted!

I just read this thread... and... well... I think I know this punk! *edited to remove any semblance of the name to protect the innocent, as I have later found out it is not the guy*

If it is, then I know who it is!! And if it is who I think it is (and I'm pretty sure now, since he sold a bike to buy a boat, then replaced the motor in the boat shortly thereafter), you should fight it all the way to the supreme court if need be. He doesn't deserve a dime!

PS - I may be of some use to you as a witness if it is this guy I think it is... and would be more than happy to do a little bit of investigation into the matter with a hidden tape recorder. ;)

. . . And the plot thickens . . . .

Might want to limit your communication to PM's though Sgt.

I just read this thread... and... well... I think I know this punk! His first name doesn't happen to start with a J and is 4 letters long, and his last name doesn't happen to start with a K and is also 4 letters long, is it?

Re: sold a boat and it busted!

Update, ok, it's not him. Funny coincidence though, because I know someone that lives in Knoxville, sold a bike to buy a boat last year, then replaced the 4 cyl engine with a V8... but he told me it was only because he wanted a bigger, faster engine, so when I read this, I was thinking "that rat fink!"

But it wasn't him.

To tell you the truth, I'm kinda glad I don't know this guy... sounds like a worthless s.o.b.
