Picked up last week and some today all the tools I need to get a coat of Kirbys paint with wog recipe on the transom.
The paint flowed/rolled pretty well and I am happy with it. Still tacky so some more tomorrow before it all changes again. I also bout a temp and humidity gauge. So today is showing currently; 50percent humidity and @ 84 degrees. Local weather is showing 72 hum. and 75 temp. 1st coat.

looks real good Kev, wasnt expecting that color.....
Yea I know Larry...they ran out of PINK. :D Kirby said it would be a "Special" blend. Mostly NJ people buy it.
I like it cause then I can put the green Irish gold over it and let it stand out with that background. I intend to accent the hatch lids witht the same color but not overwhelm the basic white or putty I end up with. The color I have now on the boat is putty-ish and to me that color is dated. So let's see wheere I end up going. Just moving along.
In regards to the paint so far with @wogs recipe;
-2 coats consisted of 1 cup mixed.
-Rolls on great with coverage
-sands out nice with 220 grit wet and dry.
-Not a single bubble issue on any roll.
-Have not needed to tip at all. I bought a good brush but can work out the wrinkles with the roller.
-Every coat had a new pan and a new roller. Foam
Seriously... Thanks. This paint has so far exceeded my expectations.

Here's a breakdown of wog measurements you can use for like a CUP.

Color reference; Kirby High Gloss Salmon. I don't think I mentioned the color. Darn happy with it.

Well as long as they end up in my boat I'm ok with that.
I really like Lobster so my wife says it looks like a lobster shell. Anytime someone says ...hey whats for dinner ...I say Lobster.
I think the color works fine for me. Not so orange in the light.

Youre done, too much and you passed the point of diminishing returns....I bet the tech sheet from Kirby states 2-3 coats or a specific mil thickness.

Lookin Good!
