ahh you got it on the run now man! I think the hardest part was getting it moved , lol. gondola! my next boat :) if I can find that lil human outboard to put on the back without breaking slave laws id be set :). controls are a pita! I just ordered a new one myself because I just don't trust this old quicksilver even after cleaning and rebuilding it just feels too tight and I did loosen the friction abit but its still tight .went with a el cheapo figuring its a Chinese knockoff but if it works fine if not I will find a better one in meantime .

Nothing real exciting here on my end. Probably more Johnson outboards arena. But decided to take the carbs out, trace out lines, mark them and begin cleaning all the fuel supply up and replace. I smell gummy bears in all of them.
Don't want to bore ya wit da pics yet. ZZZZZZZZZZZ

Well got some fuel lines and related fittings. Changed out primer/vacuum lines to carb. Removed VRO, started to add/replace other related fuel lines. Tedious work because you have to tie wrap all nipple connections in small places. Carbs rebuilt.

One day at a time says I!

Ha kcassel, I think I see a problem with your engine. I know why it is not starting and running. You have something stuck in the carb openings. :pound:

Looks good to me. And yes it does take a lot of things to get everything working. The little issues take loner sometimes then the big issue.

Now calm down...More exciting pics for ya. Now stay in your seats..
Completed all fuel line feeds and related primer/vacuum lines to carbs. Fitted back the sound cover and all fits with no kinks, Also included the Johnson 225 fuel feed diaghram. Not so clear but if anyone wants a cleaner copy let me know.

Hold onto your seats...

Thank goodness gm let me know the carb ports were blocked by paper towels. Never even saw them.

O you guys!!:embarassed:
Heck I could've used the strings to tie up the fuel lines and saved some $$. Mick What size works for you?
Glad all are well at home after the storm! Now get back to posting on your boat.

gsx kc is askeered of the grinder so he's making excuses like wire tying and sorting toenail clippings and stuff ... I think we need to has a intervention he is denying us the satisfaction of hearing him sob because of " the itch" :)

yea that's not the worst of it. 1x a buddy was working with me. The next day I went and plugged in the grinder...guess what?!!... the wacker left the thumb button in the lock/on position....lots of red that day and stitches. ouch.
Tossed that piggy and nothing but "NO LOCK THUMB" grinders anymore.
Getting there with the boat but want to spend the time on the ob.

yup.. there still around. But at $39.00 don't mind squeezing the trigger anymore. Easy cheap replacement and the head rotates. Plus no battery chargin etc and can jump larger discs onto it.
