I have decent temps so put down the last/2nd coat on the non skid. After this dries out I'm going to cover it all up till
the Spring shows up while I do winter work. All gauges ordered and shipping to me soon.

Man, this is looking nice Kev... you're getting her done!
What gauges did you go with, I'm gonna need a set for next season I think... my fuel gauge is screwy and thats one of the few that is actually useful

Faria White Chesapeake. Yea so I have this check engine tach, fuel, volts and mph gauge. The rest I can get off electronics. I'm thinking to return the MPH gauge, IDK? takes up 4" of realestate on the dash panel.

Oh on a note the polybut material was suggested by Scott Danforth way back long time ago. I was going to glue them down but if service/repair is needed then you have a removal nightmare.

Perfect;

Lots of rain today but the sun busted out. Gave me a chance to put my winter cover down over the deck. May throw some foam over that and a pillow for winter work.
Plasticore 3 sheets.

No Pillow for you! lol!
Soes.........the protection floor is great. I got to paint primer for the next steps. Also laid out some gauge ideas. Opinions welcomed. I will def. be putting down some foam over da flo. I wanted to do some exterior prep but was forecaste for rain all day. Looked like it but bummer has not yet. I guess better safe than sorry.

Still wondering if anyone has an opinion Should I still get the MPH gauge? Of course my buds are limited to around 4 peeps but welcome to anyones opinions. You all have great ideas and support and this list is in noway prioritised. Everyone welcomed. If I missed anyone well please chime in. I still have alot of flat deck behind the gauge box.
Thanks.

RPMs yep, but speedo? Nah, if you're trying to slow troll from a kicker, speedo probably wouldnt read below 5mph and isnt that accurate anyway.

If you want to know speed, probably have a GPS/fish finder that will give you MPH, and/or likely to have a smart phone that will too....

Not sure how I'd like a 10-12foot tube below deck running water from pitot to dash speedo either.

Run into many speed traps w DNR guys using speed radars on your local waterways? Slow, no wake is probably slow enough and on plane is likely fast enough. Seat of the pants speedo works for other times you dont want to use a gps to speedo it...

For high HP, performance boats, maybe, but I'd still default to a gps or phone app.

Noce work by the way. Havent been over this way lately. Keep it up.

I have to second the MPH gauge. With so many ways to allow you to get accurate speed these days, a speedometer is a waste. And I agree they are far from accurate for so many reasons. However, if you like the fancy looks on the panel, go for it. I would think of some other gauge for that spot. But that is just my uneducated opinion...

Probably don’t need the speedo but it would even out the display ..
Recessed KOB holder in its place maybe ? :joyous:
I mean where they are located now it could easily tip over ..

when I did my dash, I did a 5" tach, a 3" speedo, and a 5" 4-in one gauge along with oil temp, raw water pressure, depth, and hour meter. to me the most important gauges needed to be bigger...... mainly the tach, water temp, oil pressure, and fuel....

Thanks guys...........speedo is out. I did gat the johnson engine check gauge that will stay. I'll reposition the other gauges. I kinda felt the same way about the mph/nautical speed gauge. Just to many electronics to pick that up.
