Originally posted by David L. Moore:
I wasn't going to get into this whizzing match, but I can't help myself. My take on the whole thread is that the anti-baby bush members are simply asking one question and the republican camp can't answer it without admitting some level of failure on the golden boy's part, so they won't. As has been mentioned, the republican party can't handle the negative without trying a diversion. It is a shame that those of you defending bush so vigorously can't exit the confines of the red party and see the light of day. Then if you still defend baby bush, you will do so with much more credibility. But when you are simply reiterating what is in the Good Republican Handbook, you have absolutely ZERO credibility with those of us who can think for ourselves. And the credibility issue goes for the Democrats who behave similarly.
No one will agree with the president completely, except the president. So if you can't dissent at some point, you aren't thinking for yourself. Clinton wasn't perfect, old Bush wasn't perfect, and baby bush certainly isn't perfect. So note to the republican party and their mindless sheople, STOP PRETENDING HE IS!

Fight the fight on the truth and the questions, not on innuendo and diversion. Only then will the Democrats, independent thinking (intelligent) citizens, and the world take you seriously. Behind your backs (goes for hardline Dems too) everybody else is laughing at you and pittying you.

So, can you answer Crab bait's original post?

I'll put my soapbox away now.
Such division and hate, you are the one who needs pity, I hope you find it somewhere else.

Re: president bush

My view point is that the administration did not vote Bush into office again, the citizens did.

I would have voted for a democrat if there was one worth voting for. Many feel the same way I do. I only registered to vote because Bush appeared less evil than Kerry. Many newly registered voters felt the same way.

DNC needs to get a better man to run for the office.

I think it is sad that what is done is done. Thanks to term limits, this problem will be corrected or continued by another. There will always be negative and positive on the future presidents as well. We just need to learn to live with what we have and support our country instead of knocking it down. We cannot be strong if we keep things divided. It only makes a strong foothold for the terrorists to act upon.

According to the iboats user agreement "advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate". It doesn't say anything about trolling. How you gonna catch a bottom-feeder if you don't troll?

Q: Crab bait..."what has this adminastration done positive for the country so far..??"

A: There has yet to be another 911 type attack on this nation under GW, I'm sure it's just a matter of time till we see another, but I don't think the passive approach will lengthen the time between attacks.

Isreal pulling out of Gaza, step forward in the right direction. Let's see if GW can keep forward movement on this Mid east peace process. A large portion of the tensions between the US and Arabs.

Shed some light on the corrupt UN, oil for food BS, and helped identify which few countries are truly on our side...and there there aren't many.

Not a bad plan.. first protect your people, work on the root of the problem, identify friends and foes as you go forward. It's quite an ugly mess, has taken years to fester to this point, and probably won't be resolved over night if ever.

Crab and Moore, you guys play chess? always backing up and offering sacrifices to your opponent is a sure way to end up in check. We've been checked, now we have quite a hole to dig out of. GW may not be the sharpest tack in the box, but you must admit he was dealt a really bad hand.

This thread really sucks, all that it does is amplify the differences of Americans in a negative way. These differences are essential to the well being of our democratic republic.

BTW, All of the credit for having the best trained and equipped military in the world should be given to Ronald Reagan, not Bush #41, not Clinton and not Bush #43.

Yes, we are MORE DIVIDED than ever. That division is #1 in the liberal playbook.

They believe the old "divide and conquer" saying.

Trouble is, while were kibitzing about all this, we're being invaded (quietly) from the south.

But, NOBODY cares. :(

Needs to be on senators and congressmen also. IMO.

People, I have always voted from the time I was allowed to.
Now with that said, sometimes it did not go my way, but I still supported whoever got elected.
Might not like his policys, but still supported him.

That is what's wrong with this country today, so much hatred among the partys and that my friends will tear this country down quicker than anything.

Indeed!

That is the only issue that I disagree with GWB on.

As far as political leanings, local officials are more likely to cowtow, to the illegal vote.

Now, that's a distressing term in itself (illegal vote). What the HE!! are we thinking?

Now wait a minute DJ the Pesidency and the Congress have been Republican for 4 years, I have not seen improvement so enough of the name calling. The liberal title is a Republican namesake for anyone that is not Republican and how wrong is that.

Re: president bush

The "liberal title" is just for LIBERALS (a few of which are indeed in the republican party). It just so happens that there are no conservative democrats. And if you have any sense of history, republicans of today are just about what democrats WERE 60 years ago. So, that leaves nowhere for today's democrat to be pigeonholed, except with the marxists, socialists, and other collectivists of the world.

As for the performance of the republicans in Congress, I'd have to give them a grade of "D" for their failure to control spending and failure to slap the de-waddlin' crap out of the democrats over the matter of the judicial nominees.

As for where we are today, maybe it's not all roses, but I shudder to think of how the democrats would have handled the challenges we've faced over the last five years. Talk about a bunch of stuffed shirts. We'd have become a third-rate power in short order under the leadership of the likes of Algore or John Kerry.

And as for the bleating from the left and incessant howling over Iraq, most folks with a brain know that the tactic of the left is to repeat their lies over and over again until everyone believes what they say. What the poor leftists don't understand is that their official organ of the democratic [socialist] party, otherwise known as the mainstream press, no longer holds a monopoly on the distribution of information. There are thinking folks everywhere who can express themselves and spread the TRUTH.

So, as the democratic party is figuratively dragged by the hair to the guillotine of political history, its shrieking becomes an earpiercing din of protestation, accusation, and all manner of attempts to vindicate itself---which only serves to cement the certainty of guilt in the minds of the executioner, AKA the American voter.

The sad thing is that it didn't have to be this way, but for the unbridled lust for power which has ultimately led to the situation as it stands now. We can only hope that the damage done is reversible, but I ain't holdin' my breath.

Scuba, anyone?

Re: president bush

Seems I have heard those repeated lies over and over, WMD, WMD, WMD, WMD, we know where they are, we know where they are, we must defeat Saddam, we must defeat Saddam, Iraq connected to 9/11, Iraq connected to 9/11, Guess easier to forget some lies depends on who says them.

And you are so wrong as their are many moderate and conservative (not hard right) democrats. If conservative still means a strict interrupetation of the constitution.
