i have noooooo ideeeerrrrrrr..... if its tough to grind thru....change to a different disc.


you never know what the heck someone could have used....might even be a layer of seacast.....i try to get to the glass as that will be the best bond.....

but wait...yer using epoxy right?.....just get it straight...no bumps

good to see your back atter and not all gimped up !

MAn i was hoping you wold say that !!! she smooth now . I ground most of it out , to cool done with transom !!! got to finish cutting stringers in !! getting some marine-tex tomarrow to start on the hull !! was talking with wife last night and hopig next week to get it all orderded !!!

I doning a lot better back still a little sore when i turn the right way !! OHH man got to grind where i split her !!! &*$&^^$(( lol

And that stuff was ruff grinding hard as rocks !!!

Ya know...that looks really close to the epoxy crack filler I used on my basement floor....stuff was real hard to grind smooth...had to use a rock grinding stone on a 9'' wildcat grinder...Just my 2 cents...Boy am I glad mines made aluminum...sept for the trans of course

Hay guys can anyone answer this one ??

Ok finally got on her today !!! got to finish cut the stringers and got the back braces cut that go next to the transom .
Ohhh man when i was drying the transom plywood I had it a little close to the light , it got a little burned !!!!
got a little more cutting to to do on the cross menber ,
Ohh man trying to find marine tex , eather they dont carrie it or they are out , theres a boat place thats close getting some in friday !!
Ok well the next few days I got to work early so when i get home it doing to be time to coat all the wood in ploy !!!
Still havent got the suplies ordered , mel my little one chiped a tooth, that was a couple hundred !! been trying to pay cash for everthing !! lookest like i am going to have to throw it on the card !@!@##$@ lol that ok I will have it pay off in the 30 days !!!!
ok guys I can see the light at the end of the tunnel !!! But still got to pay the toll !!!! %%#@!$%% lol John

as far as the marine tex and run before paint..im checking to see if there is a sealer you have to put on before you run.......youll look like a dalmation on the water. but who cares.....

did ya get yer stuff?.......man i run outta resin so fast.....i now call my rep my "pusher" and tell him i "need a fix".......he just laughs

they even delever the resin and supplies right to my store, and throw it in the back of my truck for me.....

i was talking to him about farring compound....he says im gonna need approx 8 buckets....($160 a pop)

gonna check with ondarvr about that.

but any hoo....im just checkin in on you and how your doin? are you able to keep the puppies away from chewing on your resporator?

NO STILL DIDNT man is been nuts , got called into work and didnt get it ordered , I am off monday I will then . at least i hope i am off !!! running out of stuff to do !! yea right got the marine-tex , but havent started filling holes yet !! got 3 coats of poly on the stringer and transom and 2 coats on the braces . still got to fix the crack i put in her !! calling it my butt crack !! LoL

What the heck is farring compound??
The puppie are really doing good Brew is really comming around , and penny is such a smart little s**t , she is sitting speaking allready and kind of laying when told, brew is sitting !! lol

THanks Bruce , Hes really better off , he had a one of the worse kinds of parkines , not sure on the spelling , we just where over there friday and moved a hospital bed on the lower floor for him !! furenal is thursday , so thanks again Bruce John

Hay guys !!! well i fanilly got back on her for a few strated polying the center stringer got two coats on one side of it , and also got two coats on the braces that sit next to the transom , put 4 and 5 coats on the one side of the transom and on the second piece i have 3 and four done so one more coat on the one side then just getting the other side done , Also been grinding out some of the spots that for the marine-tex !!

Still waiting on getting the order out , siad something to the wife the otherday and she talked me into waiting till after the holiday , she knows i and ants-at the bit to get it ordered !!! and if I wait then she wont say a word when I want to go fishing this summer !!! So i got a plan !!! ahahhaha ok just wanted to let everone know whats going on !!! john

OK guys and gals , been working a little on the gel coat and poly the stringers one more coat on some of it to do !! should have some good news on the order here soon !!!

Man i love the service from U S Composities , Just got a phone call from mark there , he was looking at my order and called me saying I had ordered the thick epoxy which wouldnt wet out the glass !!! so he said i should get the thin!! Order will be shiped frist thing in the morning !!! I have worked with epoxy before but I guess never with the thick !!! so I am really glad he called !!! we need more shops like that !!! John
