HAy Andy, I used 2 lb . I have read a few threads on here where they have poured after the deck was in and the foam has pushed up the deck , one thread this person had 3 guys standing on it and it lifted all 3 of them up !! and that was two lbs foam !! plus all the holes you have to drill and the plug , just thought this would be safer and easyer. John

im not sure if theres a downside to pouring first.. i think its better to actually . i did the same way as john and its really easy to mix and pour than i just took a saw to it.. i heard that when you pour into the holes the wood is more likely to rot or water can get in there easily....

john we got the sides glassed in.. next week just finish the supports. 2nd layer of glass on the sides..and the deck in the middle. than snap in carpet . bench seat than the lake . too bad you couldnt get anyone doing it with you.. we went super quick with 2 people

Nope I really dont see any , just maybe using the hand saw. I really think its better this way , you can hit all the spot that dont get the foam, in the pics you can see all the times I went back and just poured a little more where its needed!! so I dont really see a down side , maybe some one else can point one out ?? But i really dont see one !! john

Hand to , to get it under the shelf that is there , its kind of hrd to see in the pics , but thats the only way it get it under there!! John

UP Date , didnt get the carpet down, the epoxy was still tackey in a few spots so I turned un the heat in there!! did get the top back down after a little fight !! had to cut part of the brace on the port side !! and we had compay stop by so that put an end of that tonight !! I get home at 4 tomorrow so I will hit it hard tomorrow!!

Ah, gotcha...the storage area on the sides. I'm cutting mine out and redoing that, so I'll be able to get the full sheet in there.

yea them things !!! hahaha couldnt think of storage for the life of me ..... lol With all the foam and all the epoxy she is rock solid !!! I am really pleased with the foam that is stuffed in there , from when i started the demo and was walking in there she moved,[ the hull ] and before i put the deck on here , she didnt move at all !!! I am more worried about not having enought flex to the hull !!! is there such a thing ??? John

dont worry about the flex thing john......your not fast enough (on da watta) to even worry about it.......

its saturday at 530 there.....hows the carpet comin.....are ya on the watter for the big day? (18th).....or can ya make it by tomm?

Thanks on the flex , its been in the back of my mind sence i poured the foam !!!! lol
Nope not on the water today , did get the carpet 3/4 cut , I got to work monday, but i am off tue, and wed, so I not stopping monday after work , wed morning at the latest,
My work gave me 4 tickets to Michigan International Speedway , they told me happy birthday , so I cant pass that up , I never been to nascar. so this should be fun !! taking the good camera !! I will post some pics tomorrow after we get back !!!! John

Ps We will be just as they come out of turn one 20 rows up !!!

hahaahahaahahaha thanks buddie , yep it was to cool,i lived here my hole life and never been, we also have some small ovels here that i been to, but never the big boys!!!
