So I have heard. Without the barbs. The fish can often just shake the hook loose.
Got out a couple weeks ago and was trying out the new Dipsy Divers for lake trout. It wasn't long before I lost the whole set up on a tree that was sticking up with the top about 70 feet below the surface ... I thought I was going to clear it by 10 feet, but alas, Dipsy, follower, swivels, and spoon all became property of said tree. UGH. 1st time in the water ... I hate that. Virgin setup never had a chance to catch a fish!Time to buy another pack of lures.
Put a hookless lure on it, have him stand on a patio chair and set up random targets in the yard.My other two boys are now referring to my middle son as "the expert"
We did agree to upgrade his light weight fishing pole to a Medium fishing pole. Still 6' as he still has a habit of hooking the anchor and casting over someone else's line. Put a Lews All American reel on it with 10lb test. He's itching to try it out but rain in the forecast for the weekend. Will see...
I have large bobbers and casting weights...but I value my 1st floor windows more
I have (11) freshwater aquariums. They come to me every time I walk by the tank asking to be fed.I quit trying to fish the lake I am on, I bought a submersible dock light and a bag of fish feed. Every night I have 100's of fish coming to me. The fish are getting fat.
