Great surgeon did both of the knees at the same operation for wife.
Walks perfectly 30 days later.

PT and meds. ACL reconstruction here and mom had her knee replaced.

Made a rod holder to keep the poles organized over the winter. Need to do a quick sand then paint to seal the wood. Will grab a pic when its done.

All it cost me was the 9 pole holder off ebay $24 + tax as all the wood was scrap left over from other projects.

With global warming, we didn't see any substantial ice last year....not that I would feel comfortable going out on it to begin with. Fair weather fisherman here.

Hate to admit this, my boat,16 foot crestliner storm escaped on Wednesday. After a morning of fishing. I pulled into the dock where I launch and retrieve 90% of the time. Light wind blowing. I tied off on the front cleat only, on account of low water the docks are sitting shallow. Went up got my truck, backed down and noticed the boat floating back. Rope came undone. By the time I got out of the truck it had already drifted past my reach off the dock argggh. An old man was there getting his canoe ready to launch. Said he’d get it when he launched. He was in no hurry. I watched as my boat drifted down lake towards some knarly shallow stuff. Time to act. I walked over grabbed one of the old guys fishing rods walked along the bank cast into the boat and pulled it in to beached but still out about 15 yards. Yep I got wet! Halfway up my shins. In a few minutes I drove it onto the trailer. A definite first for me in decades of boating. Musta had my head up my arse when I tied off. Getting old sucks! Very humbling experience but I had to laugh at myself after it was over. The fishing sucked but at least I was a source of entertainment to the few that were around.

I injured my left shoulder 6 days ago. Treated it with ice and Tylenol for 3 days and it was feeling better. Then last night, I completely wrecked it! I was lifting a gallon container to the top shelf in the fridge and Kablamo!

I was supposed to go fishing tomorrow morning (the last late dark morning until next year) but that looks very dubious now. Once more, I treated my shoulder with ice and it's better than it was, but I doubt that I'll get up early tomorrow and go fishing. Sucks.

I was 2 1/2 months of Aleve, ice, heat, and not doing much at all with the left arm. It was hard to sleep and. well, really hard to do anything. Doc sent me to Ortho surgeon who looked at MRI and said, "partial tear of the rotator cuff and labrum ... let's give you a cortisone shot and therapy and see if we can stave off an operation." The positive side is we are 6 days after the shot and for 2 years the arthritis in my lower back and knees had contributed to constant pain. I have been 5 days free of pain in my lower back and knees! Wife doesn't know what to do with me ... LOL! Hoping we can get some fish in the boat in the morning ... going to try for stripers first, then lake trout and possibly white perch. If we happen to hang a stray muskie or bass, that is fine also ... I am hoping for pics tomorrow!

I did a very similar thing years ago when I was living in Maryland. I'd launched my Bass Tracker and after I parked my truck, I realized that I'd left the drain plug out! D'oh! 🤪

I retrieved the boat, got it on the trailer and put the plug into place. Then, I relaunched and beached the boat and turned the bilge pump on. Once more I parked the truck, only to get back and see the "beached" boat about 15-20 feet from the beach, slowly turning in circles as the bilge pump pushed it along. Silly human. 😆

I walked out and grabbed the boat on its closest approach, beached it and climbed inside so that I could finally start fishing! As I recollect, I'm pretty sure that I got skunked that day too. 🤣

Cold front blew throw and it was windy. Caught a small striper and this little guy. About 1/2 dozen other hits, but they were ripping the shad in half, not taking them in … still a good day!

Don't you find shipping costs on Ebay really high? Maybe its because I'm in Canada, but I have found that most things I look at there have shipping costs higher then the price of what I'm buying! I rarely even bother to look anymore. Amazon with free shipping can't be beat.

Count yourself lucky, there's no fishing season even open here this time of year!

That’s because eBay’s commission doesn't include shipping cost

Charge $1 for part and $20 shipping…pay commission on $1.

Need to compare total cost, door to door to make the comparison

Shipping was free on this item. So umm....nope? I'll be getting another soon as I have more poles to add to the stand. My sons are already eyeing up their next upgrades...

Really depends on the item as some of the O Scale trains I buy are incredibly heavy so a $20-30 shipping fee is actually in line.

Amazon is good for some things like my aquarium supplies.
