Ok , now I need some help/suggestions on how to get my bow light apart to prep for paint . As you see there is a center screw that is broke off inside the sleeve and the 2 screws holding the lens,s are like welded in there .:mad2::mad2: I am thinking my only option is drill out with a very small bit .
It looks like the light comes apart top and bottom shell .
I think you are right. A small drill and remove them that way. There's not much else you can do. You may need self threading screws to put it all back together again. I'm sure you will get more feedback on this. Nice job on the bases and frames.
The best suggestion on getting the rust welded screws out is to drill carefully, then re-tap...if you go beyond the original size you still have two options, drill/tap to the next size up or heli-coil to the original size...I'm in the process of doing a few of these on the engine parts I have been refurbishing...:facepalm:

Welp after getting the the stripes layed out and taped up I did manage to get one coat of white on today . 2 more coats then the SP green !
Who,s idea was all these stripes anyway ! :facepalm: Man what a bunch a work .. :faint2:
If you know anyone w/ a shooter's rest bead bag, you might use 1 of those to rest the light on & attempt to drill out the rusted screws w/ a drill press. HF had a Tap&Die set on sale, may still be on sale....
Yea holding the light good and straight/level will be a bit tricky . I was thinking maybe wrap in a rag and place in my vise . I did manage to drill the head off the screws holding the lens and take them out . The real long screw is gunna be a bugger . If you look at the first pic it has these 2 little nipples sticking up on the bottom . I think it has a post that went thru holes in the bottom that has like a allum cap soldered on them . If I can take it apart I may be able to get a small pair of vise grips on the screws and soak em in some wd/40 .
Got a Heat gun? Heat em up then Squirt some PB Blaster on em and let em soak for 30 minutes. Take a Small punch and tap on the screw/bolt when its heated.
Ok Now I have to go to the Eye Doctor. The glare off those bases has temporarily blinded me!!!!

Turned out ok I guess . A little bad spot in the prep here and there but what do ya expect from a rookie shade tree boat restorer .. :facepalm: :joyous:
