SP, thanks for the compliment. I will be hanging around here a lot more. Going to keep referring to all you pros as I do my stringers and ribs. Keep up the great work.

Hang around as long as ya want AJ . But i have to warn you . I sure ain,t no pro at any of this stuff . I signed up to this job knowing there would be a lot of " on the job training " just like the rest of us rookie,s .

Hey , Whats the deal with my video ?
I checked my thread on my phone today and like beardedone said it was blocked cuss of some music rights or something .
Now it,s back up again .
I have to be more careful . I feel like i,m being watched or something better keep a low profile ... :behindsofa:

Just when I thought I was done making templates .

I had enough resin to put the last coat of glass on 2 of the seat bases . I,ll pick some up tomorrow and try and get the other 2 done ..
I then cut the bottom piece for the gunwale shelf out of the poly boards I picked up the other day .

This does not have to be a perfect cut because I will install a thin piece of trim that will cover the brackets and edge of the horizontal shelf .:)

sphelps, you skills are at the level of a pro. You might be a rookie like the rest of us, but your work could pass as PRO. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching and learning.

The last 2 vids or blocked for some reason. Looks like some kind of copyright deal..
Someone else said the same thing earlier in the thread.

 Ya know there,s nothing worse than wearing a respirator when you have the sniffles .. Mustered enough strength to put the last layer of glass on the seat bases . Gunna down about half bottle of NyQuil and hope I don;t wake up late for work ..
Hope ya,ll have a great rest of he week !

Yeah, get some rest and make sure you clean the inside of the respirator with some acetone.. Don't want you to reinfect yourself..
Get well soon dude..

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

Hope you start feeling better soon. I swear every time I do something that involves sanding the glass I get the coughs. I think my mind plays tricks on me as I have a huge fear of inhaling that stuff with all I have read on here about it. I even bought a full face respirator and while I love it for keeping the dust off my face and protecting me, I still cough the rest of the night. Mind over matter and my mind is winning. :miserable:   Maybe your mind works the same way only when you are doing the glassing. :bi_polo:

Ya know, I love these new emoticons.

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

Well I was not going to waste a day off sick or not so I went out this morning and was disgusted with the mess I was trying to work in.

Soooo I cleaned up a bit . It,s still a bit of a mess but at least I can walk all the way around the boat now .

I also managed to do a little pb fairing on the bases .

Hope I can get these ready for paint soon .

Uhmmmm Uhmmm good question Pmc ! Hopefully before the end of 2013 !
No seriously it has been really hard to find the time to get all the little things done with my work schedule lately . I really need to make a list of every thing needed and start checking them off as I go . A winter time splash would not be a problem down here so as soon as she,s ready she,s getting wet !
Been thinking on giving her a name but haven,t decided yet .
