Great looking seat backs!

Somewhere, maybe WOG's bench thread, a video mentioned not trying to stitch the cording tight into the welting, when you stitch your own. A little loose made it easier to sew it tight between the 2pcs of seat vinyl. And an off-set foot (zipper maybe?). The pre-stitched welting was pricy.............

Troop , Thank you sir !

Wood , hold the phone on any predictions till we see some stichin going on ! The seats definitely make the interior of the boat so I'm hoping for the best..BTW BF ",junkyard reject " don't even belong in the same sentence !

jbc , Yep I think I remember that on the piping ..

SP,

I've watched you since day one on this project and your attention to detail, ingenuity, inventiveness and skills have never ceased to amaze me. When your project is completed, it will be one that is referenced many times due to it's completeness and all encompassing set of tasks and details. I can't wait to see the upholstery, because I am certain it will be of the same quality and standards as all the rest of your work. Keep on Keepin on!!!!

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

I agree with the above. You have done a really good job on this build.

Also, since I am huge nerd, I thought you might want to know the names of your boat seats:

Of course, due to your color choice, all of yours can be inky.

May all of your hard work and dedication lead you to the elusive third banana.

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

GT, Troop ,
Thanks I can,t wait to start sewing !

Pmc,
I was wondering which one of you guys would know the ghost names .LOL!
I guess we are all nerds in some kind of way ! :D

OK , I got the glass layed on one side of the jump seat wood backing. I,ll catch the other side tomorrow .
Also after looking at stretch,s rebuild thread on his MFG I started questioning myself on the foam installed under the deck. My factory brochure shows foam under the deck so I decided to check it out, I drilled about 6 holes in places I thought there may be foam. I poked around with a long piece of heavy wire and there is no foam in there at all. The wire just rattles around and when I pull it back out there,s no sign of foam or moister at all..I guess they got slack at the factory and forgot to install it.
This does not hurt my feelings cuss I would rather have no foam than have wet foam ..
I know of at least 3 times that this boat has been sunk .The foam in the bow and gunnels kept it from sinking to the bottom.
I don't think I will pour foam under the deck .
BTW I have a trooper like experiment going on with some foam I will share later..
Maybe I do need a support group ..
