I'm waiting for my paint to cook so here is the bad spots I wanted to fix. If the mfg emblems weren't going right there I prolly woudn't have messed with it.

2cnd coats on. The repair turn out much better. I got enough paint for maybe 1 more coat on the hull. It's hard to believe I have went thru a gallon already . The h/t soaked up quite a bit ,gunna stop by the tractor supply tomorrow and pick up more.

I thought I was the only ANAL freak when it came to painting. No Offense!!!!! We are in the same group I guess. But just like you I lose sleep over some of the dumbest things. My eyes always go to all the imperfections and everybody else says "What are you talking about, It looks Great!!!!" I thought your boat looked GREAT so I guess it's always the guy doing the work that sees all the little stuff. I'm sure it's PERFECT now!!! GREAT WORK!!!!!

We are our own worst critics...

But in the end, it is our project and we have to satisfy our own ridiculously high standards...what is it the French say?...cie la vie...or some such nonsense...

It still looks GRRRRRR-8 from here!!!

I think a 4th coat would just be showin' off ;) That thing looks great! It's like a marshmallow dipped on glass.

Paint job looks great. MFG has the best lapstrake hulls. So classic looking.

Ok, Where's YOUR boat??? You are NOT supposed to bring in a ringer for display while your old clunker is out back. That's not Kosher!!!!!
Well I guess you deserve one of these.....

GT,Bear,
Thanks!

Ezm,
The lapstrakes are good lookin but are a pita to sand!

Jbc,
I haven't had a chance to run by the sign shop since I had to start a new building project on the other side of town. Gunna let the paint dry real good so maybe make some time next week .

Wood,
I couldn't have done it without all your help! I really appreciate all of the knowledge that you share with us green guys!
BTW I am hiding a klunker in the back yard!

Kind of a donor boat The motor runs great so if I can't get the chrysler running I can as Obe Wan says USE THE FORCE!:D

With the paint turning out so great, for sure take the time to let it harden. Looks really good, esp all the lapstrakes, perfect!

Well, for a clunker, she's got a nice looking trailer:D. BTW this ^^^ is how it starts:facepalm:

That clunker is pretty racy looking. I bet it would fix up real sharp!

Well what you don;t see is the rotten floor which means prolly stringers and transom also:mad:
I'm not quite sure my game plan for this one. I want to make a fishing boat for the creeks but this hull probably not the right shape for it.
And jbc the trailor wasn't worth 2 cents until I put new axle, hubs and rims on it. Thats a story I'm trying to forget. But a few more parts and pieces and It will be like brand new!:)
