I thought I couldn't be more in awe of your MFG rebuild, but now you're adding a stereo too? That is awesome. Keep up the great work!

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

In the 80's today and got the weekend off !
So was able to get the rear speakers installed ..I used some angle I had around to mount the panels ..

Kinda over bent them to help hold thing good and tight . The usual 5200 in the appropriate places ..

Here is the radio installed under the dash .

I was going to buy a reg glove box and already cut the opening for it . But I have changed my mind and decided to fabricate a larger than normal g/b that will install on the backside of the opening . Then I will just make a door out of wood and install a keyed lock .
It seems a reg g/b just never has enough room in them ..
On another note my son has taken up a hobby of turning these model pieces .

Painting them and making these .

I think he has been holding out on me on his painting skills . Gunna have to put him to work helping on the boat ..

That's amazing! I wish you lived 1,500 miles closer. I'm running out of arms and legs to pay the glass fabricators around here.

Looks gr8...now what kinda music you gonna be playin'? Very warm down here yesterday, too...Today the winds finally settled down & the ocean is flat. Too bad I gotta go to work. Thursday night, we got 20 inches of rain in my town(Boynton Beach). Floods everywhere, 2 people drowned, roads closed, heck-even I-95 southbound was shut down for a while. This wknd much better...hoping to dry things out. Flood/spillways are wide open....means snook fishing later in the week(I hope). Get on the boat & blast them speakers!!

Woody , Taz , Lokonn, thanks gentlemen ! Prolly the easiest fix for a small project ..
friderday, We got a lot of rain up here also . My yard is a wreck ! I listen mostly to classic rock but I enjoy all types . Really love the blues ! Classical /orchestra music is great also from time to time . I like some country but mostly the old stuff . :joyous:
GT , I will see what I can do . I need to get some different mounting attachments for the GoPro . They are pretty fond of those little pieces of plastic !

Wow! Those speakers look wonderful in your boat. I know that I've said it before, but your work is seriously amazing.

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

IGT, Decker , thank you for the complement !

Installed my extra large glove box . Basically just a painted plywood box . Made some little supports and stained them for underneath. It provided some needed protection for the radio and really added some strength to the whole bulkhead . Now I just need to make the door and it will be complete.

A little crude but functional . :joyous:

As in my normal fashion of starting new projects before I finish the ones already started .
Had a piece of rough cut cypress laying around so started my rear jump seat cup holders that I have been wanting to make ..

I hope I,m not boring you all with all my small little projects . :bored:
Later guys and gals !! SP....

I think it looks great.. Don't see anything crude.. That will make for a very large glove box.. The small details is what makes the boat.. Have a great weekend..:joyous:

the small details are what take so long, too! is it me or do the transoms & stringers seem to go fast but rubrails & hardware seem to take forever? looks super-D-duper!!
