Re: Love, Necessity and Pride

I went by Thursday and left my number on a note on the door...either they are not interested in selling... or... I had a feeling like there wasn't anybody living there???...Still haven't recieved a call, yet... but if I don't hear from them this week, I'm going to go by the place again...

How forward w/ technology is the Miami county govt property assessors office? And property records?

In Las Vegas w/ any of these:
Property owner's full name
Property address
Property parcel number

You could get:
Property transfer records back decades w/ sales price
Current assessed value
The bank 'holding' the title & ownership if foreclosed
And any of the remaining info from above

All instantly online at no cost. Depending on your interest in the hull, you can probably track down if it's a vacant foreclosure property. Then contact the banks property manager, that can also be found, and get paid to take it off the property & have them sign off on it as abandoned on the property. In Las Vegas, businesses sprang up all over & regularly to keep up w/ the clean out & boarding up of foreclosures. Including removal of all sorts of abandoned property: trucks, cars, boats, atv's, trailers, campers. Some areas it was 50% of the houses. Sad & unbelievable. Not sorry to no longer be in construction there. Housing or commercial. Crazy 4 years....

Hopefully, they are snowbirds & a mild winter has them absent.

I left this elsewhere earlier, but will also leave it here:

You know it's nice to have a couple of different boating options::D

This is the 1 I use to cruise with my beautiful, loving, caring, forgiving, wife past envious trailer queen new boats... <<-- order the descriptive terms as you see fit

I use this 1 for a weekend on the water w/ the whole family...

Me & my fishing buddies use this 1 for fishing....

MBS sufferers unite! We meet the 3rd Tues of every month at 12noon, at a marina near you!

I just asked the admiral to check my temperature, and the forecast is a mid-week fever and mandatory 'bed-rest'. Please ask Mrs. Epstein to forward the note to both FireFlite & SC threads. I may need it more then once!

Nice score on your series of deals man.

Thanks, sprintst...I am stoked...now if I could just get the time to do something with all this stuff...

get back to work slackah! I wanna see you use that glass you bought!

I must admit, I have been slacking...I think I need an energy drink, something like a nice tall refreshing glass of Kool-aid...

Nice score on the trailer and supplies! Keep up the good work!

Thank you, vcaptain...I will try;)

The technology is about as advanced as it can be...its the neanderthals and other-worlders in the offices, trying to use the technology, thats the problem...

Gonna try and go by again this coming weekend and get the address, etc...

Monel staples not stapling

Rust-proof, not Stain-less which are not stain-proof:)

Thanks guys, this is a very rewarding and inspiring little project that goes a long way to motivate the pending work on the hull...

As far as getting the idea to taper the bunks, it is a two-fold inspiration...
1- I read in the "Trailers and Towing" Forum about easing the edges of the bunks and tapering or rounding over the loading edge...and...
2- The chines on my hull would ride up on top of the 2X6's, so to get on the flats between the them, the tapering seemed like the best way...

One of the immediate benefits I see with this is no sharp edges to wear away [too quickly] or bang into with my shins, and the added plus is that they look kinda cool...

S.P., Sorry about my abuse and misuse of the English language...LOL,...what JBC says...they are a type of rustproof staples used in outdoor applications...

Nice job GT1M!

Snazziest bunks I've ever seen!

Man, now Gus's hats won't fit.

Better get him fitted for a new one. A bright & shiny tin one perhaps? I think it may need to be riveted on though, Monel staples won't keep it afixed nearly as well. I did not bring any kool aide w/ me, so it's not an official recruitment. Just a suggestion to help keep the sun at bay. Keep the pitchforks, knives & axes in the shed, they are not needed. :D

Great job GT. I love the beveled edges. Very nice touch and it should make sliding on the the bunks a breeze. Cheers!
