I've driven beside many Pelicans, it is Impressive when they trade Speed for Altitude. Hell of a Wingspan, on those Buzzards

Took this about 20 yrs ago, not flying just paddling away from me


This was about 45 minutes from home. Didn't take this Pic

I miss the seeing the pelicans from when i lived in Fl. I would only see the white ones in the winter months though. I picked up a friend once from the airport he flew in from NJ and had never a pelican. We were driving over the bridge and one was flying next to us and my buddy freaked out. He had no idea what he was looking at and called it a Pterodactyl.
