Filled up boat, seems to be good so far.Im putting led strips on each side for the bow lights they look like these ones.http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Bass-Boat-Ka...ash=item2a739b0d78:g:DyQAAOSwcgNZGUm4&vxp=mtr

Filled up with Beer!?!?!?!?! Yes that would be good!!!!! :D LOL

I looked at doing those, but since I will be on the gulf at times I figured I would go with Coast Guard approved lights... Did you have the one light on the bow before? How you going to close up that hole?

Im planning on putting a smallish led bar light on there .Where i boat im usually the only one around for 20 miles,so i could use it to spot shore etc without blinding anybody.Being a canuck U.S coast guard approval is of no matter to me atall. As long as their kosher where i am is all that matters.

LOL, I worry about it being here in the states. I was on a cruise ship out of Galveston with the wife. We were watching the CG cutter sailing along side us and I thought it weird how they kept pace and then would cut behind us. Then over the loud speaker we were told someone was flying a drone and it was in violation of the US National Defense Agency.... or something like that LOL. All I know is, I don't want to be on a 16ft Starcraft when they come hailing with a .50 caliber....

I believe those led bow strips are legal ,i cant see why not, they do the exact same purpose as a traditional bow light.Boy their sure panicking about those drones eh.They make them out to be some kind of super destroyer, never mind that they actually cant do one onethousanth of the nonsense they attribute to them.Dont tell anybody but ive developed one that can carry the q bomb.

Here in the states, the USCG requires it says they approved them. If they don't then they are not approved; however, I doubt you will ever get hasseled by them over that as long as you have lights that work and oriented correctly.

I thought about getting into drones, but I know a couple people who have lost some high dollar drones. Don't think I want to eat the cost if mine decided to self destruct.... So I got into boat restorations instead

Very Nice!!! What are the specs on that light? I am looking at different ones and that one appears well built.

That's a bummer, did you get it covered to keep the water off?

Hasn't rained here since the first of June. Not a single cloud in the 10 day forecast either. Temps around 100 - 103

Watch for fisheye if moisture while gassing. Will need to sand out after fully cured, light detergent wipe, then tack cloth. Multiple light finish coats in badly affected areas. Heat lamps helpful.
