Well that is some good news, no leaks is a great thing and tiny bit of seepage is nothing to ever worry about. :whoo:

So... ahem I think your forgetting something? :photo:

That sucks. How long did you let the pain cure before applying the rocker guard?

Not long enough!lol.! I went and bought a wire wheel for my angle grinder today and stripped the truck down today.I have a couple of holes to fix and i went and chatted with the bodyshop supply guy today. He went out and looked her over and gave me suggestions and selected all the supplies i will need to do it right this time .Mechinacly shes great so im mulling over taking her in in a couple of years and getting her totally redone to mint body wise .

Took the redone ss out for her first real test up at my brothers camp on monday and just got back today.Monday night it rained big time all night long.It holds water very well to the tune of 200 plus gallons and sitting on the bottom of shore, lol. The bilge auto switch got accidentally turned to off .Turned on in the am and 30 minutes later or so she was bone dry and stayed that way till end of trip. The fasco epoxy did its job in sealing her up nicely. The 5/8 floor was nice and solid and the led spotlight lit up the total darkness very nicely.I dont use it for driving as i get light blinded but its excellent for flicking on and picking up shore or logs and great for finding camp docking spot. The led bow strip lights can be seen for miles .When i went up to camp i have to boat 27 miles to get there and i took 3 adults ,2 dogs ,30 gallons of gas plus food, cloths etc and the 60 etec poped her up on plane nicely and ran very well.I put the other consol back in so both were there instead of my last pic with only one.All in all im very pleased with the results and should get many years out of her if i choose to do so.The floor was not slippery atall with the clear bedliner coating working very well on the wood!I will see if anybody took pics while she was underway,as i took my old nikon and only took 35mm film shots.PROJECT considered successful.

What no digital shots for us? Glad to hear you you have a successful splash but without pics ya know...

27 mi one way, that's awesome, getting there is half the fun and the kind of trips I like to take in the Chief.

The bilge pump float switch should be always hot no matter what, especially if ever moored.

First time i didnt take my dslr. The water in the reservoir went up about 2 or 3 feet while i was there.Went to a few fav fishing holes and the water was just raging out of the feeder rivers .My bilge switch has 3 positions man, off, auto and she accidentally got hit to the off i wasnt going out in that rain period! I knew if she sunk it wouldnt of put my motor under I always leave it on auto it was just an accident.Something did happen that was weird.I used a Michigan wheel vortex prop with the hub system on this trip.On the way home the motor stopped going forward in the middle of a large part of the water so i went to shore on a kicker and the prop was spun! When i took it off there was grey goo all over the hub and other places.Called my buddy when i got home who owns a prop shop and he said the old plastic hubs were known to just disintegrate over time. He,s had several in this year alone. No hits ,no damage just turn to mush!Getting an updated hub for free .Im assuming the material they made the original plastic hubs out of was no good long term so after several years it fails.I came within a hairs breath of leaving my spare prop at home, thank god i didnt .

That's not good at all. On my Chief I have a Quicksilver Black Diamond with the hub system that also fits MW props and so far no issues at all with many hours of use so hopefully they have that worked out now with new hub material.

Mines a few seasons old now and looks like it's new still. I take it off a couple times throughout the season to check for fishing line on the prop shaft and inspect everything before I grease the shaft and put it back on. It's big monster when compared to the props I have on my outboards. My Merc 140 has a Turning Point with the hub system.

My new garmin stryker 4 fish/gps transducer got wrecked somehow. Most likely have to order a new one as its impossible to attach to back of boat now as the ears are destroyed somehow. So as an experiment i fasco,ed the transducer to to bottom of the inner hull.I heated up the epoxy to get rid of bubbles .Will report on success or failure tomorrow.Figured id try it as i have nothing to lose atall.
