Thoughts and prayers to all in Irma's path. I have family north of Orlando and in Jacksonville.

They are "Riding The Storm Out".

Always liked that old REO Speedwagon song

Hoping Irma is like some of my old Fireworks. Looks powerful but just fizzles out.

Just went back to the house, ran all the dock lines from the boat to the trees. Anchor line ran 150' to another tree. Either all the trees are going and taking the boat, or the squirrels have a tightrope to the boat

Interesting that Irma ran up the coast of Cuba and there has not been anything said or any pictures/video that I have seen.

Stay safe Scott, save some Kessler's for after the storm.

Hope the trees stay put and hold the boat.

Grin......keep the spirit man. Keep the communications coming. Helps to keep you mind off the problem. Nice that the local supply agencies have looked at the problems of weather and purchased things to aid residents in protecting their properties from the elements.....remembering way back (in literature-movies) where every house had shutters that were functional for just such an event. Nowadays just ornamental......I guess, mine were/are.

How many days worth of "provisions" do you have stashed away? Grin Hope you planned for the event correctly....nothing like running out at the wrong time. That'd be worse than the storm, I'd guess. Grin #2.

Gangs roaming the streets with guns to confiscate your "stash" of goods to get you through the storm.

I figure its some of the fools shooting at the hurricane. Same batch of folks that put fans on their roofs to blow the hurricane away

A "sane" twitter user said he was going to shoot Irma to keep her away. Other "sane" tweeters agreed to do the same. Social media can be misused and often is.

Better put on your :tinfoil3: to protect your noggin, Scott. Too many crazies around!

My family and I are hunkered down at a local hotel. Did the best we could to prep the homestead but it may not be enough. Time will tell. Pix to follow.
