Just watching News on ABC and they are showing the true meaning (IMO) of a moron. Wind above 100 MPH and these dumb $%#^ are out there on TV showing how high the wind is. Something like a small stick could kill.

Well, we're glad to see that Irma is weakening. And the latest update is showing that it may be tracking farther east of us than anticipated. More good news for us.

We got done what we could as far as prepping our homestead, but just couldn't get our place boarded up.

But! The great news is that we got BOTH the Kingfisher AND the Chieftain into the garage along with my wife's new car! Boo yah!

Did ya see Mike Bettes in the wind and rain when a small twister went about 20 feet behind him? Blew him a few feet as he fast stepped to stay upright. Bettes was storm chasing for the Weather Channel and the SUV he was in was caught in a tornado and the SUV was picked up and tossed about 200, crushing the roof. The same tornado killed 3 other storm chasers. How much is the job worth?

We apparently slept through the thing! Went to bed about 11pm and just got up. Power stayed on all night. The projection when we went to bed was that it wouldn't roll through here till now. It must have sped up quite a bit overnight.

We may be able to go home this morning!

yep, the crazy fool that is my old man. did fine, never even boarded up his windows. We have done that a dozen times or more together and I never thought twice about it, but when he is down there alone I really thought he would be in trouble. called him last night to see how things went, first thing he said was "wish you were here it was fun"

Scott - he said the same thing about dog bladder. had to take her out during the eye. he said she was splashing all over having fun. LOL

glad everyone is safe and the only damage was minimal property stuff.
