Re: hull extension in progress with picks

I've done bodywork and painted a bunch of vehicles for myself, and I pick every one apart. But for some reason I always get complements and people asking me to paint they're stuff. I think you're gonna get more complements than you'll know what to do with, but probably always find something you wish you'd done better.(That nobody else notices) You're the only one who can make the call, but I say pat yourself on the back and put the cap on it.:)

NO WAY! He's put WAY too many hours into this thing to just call it good enough. He's so close now, he'd just be downright foolish to get impatient and call it good enough. I can't say that I wouldn't, but Oops has done a LOT of things on this project that I wouldn't have had the patience for.

I say finish the project the way you started it. If it takes a couple of extra hours now to finish it right, then suck it up and go for it. At this point, what's another couple hours?

If he was looking for a "good enough from here" paint job, he coulda already had this project finished by now!

You go, Oops! In all your sanding-dust glory!

Wow, mirror finish! It's really coming along, looks great!

I'll second ajhoude77's halogen light idea. They're pretty cheap. I have a 600 watt halogen on a work stand, and it lights up a room like daytime.

IMHO:
The more you look at it, the more you'll see that you want to do. No matter how close you get to immaculate.

She looks great to me. Good job!

Missed them Sat night but was filling up the truck and boat in Winfield Sunday morning when they drove by (heading North).

Saw a few million dollars drive by and was pretty cool.

Hit Wood for Kokanee, but was filling up at about 8:30 am. I fill at the other end (Mohawk) as I can get diesel and boat gas easily.

Lake was so flat that I decided to open her up even with my kicker and downriggers on.

Hit 39.4 mph. Pissed I didn't break 40 but did have a bunch of extra weight. Fastest I've had my boat yet.

And a dozen or so Kokanee to the boat. About 1/2 were red and ready to spawn with the rest nice an chrome.
