One word for you Ward....Picasa. You can go through all your photos on your desktop and do a mass upload, plus organize into folders online...thank you google!

Aggreed! Google is the best! I use Picasa for everything. Hands down the best free photo program!!

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

not sure if i posted these shots or not.....i was just looking thru photo bucket and found these....

this is the sun pad/motor cover i made for the big boat.

the under side will be covered....the glassed side will go on top....this is for stiffness of the board, as well as waterproofing.

010-2.jpg

i also made and carpeted a bulkhead that will seperate the passenger area from motor cage

011-2.jpg

this bulkhead will also see some water...so the edges were resin covered

014-1.jpg

016-1.jpg

noise is a real issue for me in the boat....i wasn it as quiet as possible....so i used a cheap rubber backed carpet attached to the plywood

the bare glass inside the motor cage was also carpeted.

012-1.jpg

013-1.jpg

so the carpeted side of the bulkhead goes to the inside of the motor compartment the other side of thatis where the glass benches i made will be attached.

thats about as far as i got before i pulled the bayliner into the shop....
so ill have that process up for you soon

cheers

Not sure what "bump" means. But we certainly understand that your customers are who enable you to "have fun" on the side! We certainly appreciate all you've covered in your AWESOME build. Your index on page one is just the icing on the cake! Would be lost without it, as you cant BUY this kind of "firsthand" knowledge! A Corona to you oops!

Nice to see your making some progress too. It's really good to hear you got to actually enjoyed the boat without worrying about anything.
Great Job.

Bump, puts the thread to the first page instead of buried on page 17ish. Every time someone posts on a thread, it becomes the newest om page 1.

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

johnny knows steve....and you are probably correct :D

even tho the theme has not yet been revealed....i have left clues to it all over the thread.

it is allready becoming the talk of this town around the boat yards. (ever since it hit the water) im looking forward to finishing it....
its cool the way people do a double take every time you drive down the road with it......its really long.....tee heee.

just a quick funny note before i run off to the shop.....(im still playing hookey )

i was trailering the boat from my g/f house to the shop......it had stormed during the night....lots of rain.
my bilge pump is hard wired to the battery....so it does not matter if the switch is off.....if the float says pump....it pumps !.

people look at the boat when its at the stop lights....then the light turns green.....there windows are down......i acellerate away from the lights....the water from the rain runs aft to the bilge........  :D
and the big boat takes a whizz !:D

Luckily it wasn't my boat doing that, or the people in the car next to the bilge pump through hull would get soaked,,, it shoots out 6-8' :D

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

Oops... I read this whole thread took me just over a week and a half at work (8 days X 5 to 6 hrs/day).

Great work!

This thread gave me the inspiration to redo my brother's 1985 B'liner even tho it appears not to be financially worth it, it will be emotionally worth it.

Here is the thread... http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=402856

I would really like to see pictures of what you did with your b'liner.

Thanks,

Duane.
