Hey Oops,
long time reader not much of a writer. Anyway I was looking back at your bench seats to try to get a reference for my bench i am puting in my boat across the back it looked like your benches were at a 90 degree angle the back to the base shouldn't there be some angle "reclineingesh" or is that something you would take up with coushions also i asked earlier about the windshield I though intially you wanted to convert to a curved glass windshield did that get thrown out? thank for the great thread.

hi merrit....the benches do have a slight recline to them....hard to see unless they are installed.

and as far as the windsheild i had allways intended to keep it squair....but i want to add longer wings to the windsheild.....i have been looking on and off for over 2 months to find the right kind of extrusions for the longer wing frame....i just cant seem to find the right kind of frame

Oops,
you should look at the wings from a late 80, early 90,s searay my 1990 searay 180 has stupid long wings for its size they come all the way back to were you step in the boat they might fit up nicely to your windshield without to much modifaction. any idea what the angle on the seats was or did you eyeball it?

i built the form and sat on it for comfort....then duplicated it for the other side.

as long as you get it close its good....but sit on ot before you build it

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

I thought the research you (we) did at Joey's was how you decided on the correct "shape" for the seat and cushions.

Did I just get you in trouble?

BAAAA HAAAA HAAAAA.....i can see your big grin from here :D:D

shaping the foam is where the "patterns" will come in....
the sun pad (in the rear of the boat) ...(lol) is still in production....that is where most of the "patterns" will come in to play

however ......i must admit that with all that has been going on with my boat and other peoples boats.....and the sights on the water, my memory of that particular "feature" is a bit fuzzy.......

we might need another meeting to discuss this.

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

ill get some pics up for you guys right away....

i am currently doing motor work on the boat.....its turning out to be a real pita as i am mix and matching parts....(YUCK :p )

i had a real battle with the oil pan gasket, only to find out that the oil pan i wanted to use wasnt the correct one for the block...(long story.....and really tough to see if you didnt know what to look for)...

well i finally used my origonal oil pan.....got that on, then wanted to use a hi rise manifold for the beast.....well.....the manifold was the wrong one for the block.....so after consluting with i boats mech division....(lol) i decided to go ahead and make it work.......well it took all day for no klu and i to grind out the manifold..(intake).....no klu was a big help.....finally got that on, and then started to assemble the rear end of the motor....then the water pump, and just as i was at the alternator......(i had to re mount the alternator because the marine alt is way thicker than the auto one) i realised i needed a special bolt......so i got stopped in my tracks right there......

im back on it tommorow morning.....then we are gonna head out to see sean floats....(another i boats guy ) on kalamalke lake for a weee bit and have a few sody pops........(last time i saw sean he brought out this mexican tikillya....wow was it good......thats all i remember.....lol)

ill post back as soon as i can....
cheers
