OK Guys and Gals here you go !!! we caught a few fish, and made a 5 little girls pertty happy !!! lol they keep telling me to go faster !! hole lake a no wake lake !!!

Kids wanted to get the tube out !!

Ok this pic I think ooops got in the pic look on the beach at the picin table !!!! lol

I was going to go out this afternoon but the rain came so later this week i will get some speed shots !!! John

This post is on the motor I had at the time on her,


when i went to see it before we bought it , it really thought it was cool that it was made the same year me and my wife were born!!! and does it run , havent had a problem with her !! [ knock on wood ] and after this winter she will look mint if i can find the center logo for her , I am going to paint her !! and with a new stainless steel prop, after i get the tack going !!

Its a 1962 1000 100hp merc , and I love her !!! hahahah John

Ok guys man i just cant make up my mind on the seats , I was talking to a guy at work , he has a 16 foot glastron GT and he was telling me that his bases are only like 2 inchs tall !!
he was also telling me that he got so old bar stools that he was thinking of using !!

I really do like the idea of them but i wouldnt get any lift out of them !! and i would loose my storage under the seats !! all i really have in them is a couple of vest !!

i really do like to sit high and look over the glass when i can !!!!!! nothing like the feel of the wind in your face as your flying on the water !!

Well i guess i got some more looking to do !! john

Ok guys this is why i bought a tri-hull , me and oops were talking last night and i was telling him about this one !! Man i got some great memories, of me and my dad out in this !! this thing would fly !! chev, 350 with holly double pumper on her [ two 4 barrels ] man it was fun, We bought it off my doc, who come from Cuba , he said he bought is off a movie company after they were done shooting , It was a James Bond , i think it was moon racker , not sure on that part ,

this was before we put a tandem axle under the trailer, we were comming threw caseville and went to turn the corner and one of the tires passed us !! man that stunk !! hahaha

this next pic is me 15 might have been 16 with rosie , she was a great dog !!

This post some one asked how the ride was.

She rides great, corners good !!! she jumps right up on plane and rides real high . i would say the back 1/8 is just in when i got the hammer down !! the last pic of the boat me and my dad had was a 20.9 foot , and this one rides the same !! in 2 or 3 foot waves she gets ruff !!!! she will beat you to death !! It was the same way in the big one thats why this one doesnt go out on the big lakes !! now my new one [ its a deep V ] it wont worrie so much out in the saginaw bay !!

this girl rides great !!! I not kidding , i would say in 20 feet [ if that ] she is on plan !!! I was out today in her and man i love it , 7 hour again today !! was fishing today didnt do much catching !!!! it was still a great day !! little cold out there this morning , but warmed to 80 this afternoon !!! even at lower speeds she tuns well !! and top end right now os 40 , once i get the tack going we will see what i can do , would love to get 50 out of her !! i know i am dreaming , this one doesnt have a 350 in her !! I am still very pleased !! John

Ok guys and gals I need a vote here , and i need to say thanks redfury this is his boat that he colored the bottom, just what i was thinking of doing !! I tried doing on but it didn't turn out as well as his did so , he said i could us his !!

then i wanted to add this to the side ,

the stickers is 54 inches length and 18 inch's tall , i was thinking of putting as far forward as possible,


Ok the second thought was to not paint the bottom red , but put that stickers on the bottom center of the V , it would look cool on the trailer and when i am flying on the lake .

I still am undecided , and the wife says if i paint the bottom red every time i hit something it will needed to be touched up !! [ which i haven't done yet ] lol I never had a boat that had a painted bottom on her , I am going to paint her white if not the red on the bottom , and i also am going to put clear coat over the stickers !!

Ok guys and gals just give me a 1 or a 2 , and what you like and what you don't !!! thanks all John

OOOHHH yea buddie I totally agree if i didn't have to get another motor I wouldn't even have 2 grand in her , but even with the motor 850 bucks, i will only have 2500, in her !! And i know its in better shape then If i were to have someone else do it , and 100% better then when it was new !! and if she made it 32 years when glastron made her just think how long she will last now , with the stringers and transom all glassed in , and the drainage i add !! and 3 layers of eglass and 4 on the transom !! also the LED lighting i am adding !! and the best part well the second best part is all the knowledge that i have learned !! and the best part is the friends that i have made on here !! John

sorry it not on shore but i was the only one the last two days , my buddie had one from shore i will get it from him !! he didnt go , been sick !!

Ok this is the starboard side on the hull you can just see the gouge that needs to be fixed , the next two are closer shot of it !!

Ok everyone Heres what i got done today !And man are you right oops that 220 grit sure does take it off fast !!! now i just got to find somemore 7inch 220 grit hook and look paper ran out today !! they didnt have any more at Harbor Freight ??? You can see the spots that i hit and it was gone in seconds !! lol

heres what the difference it made in the gelcoat !!

Heres some pics of all the spiders i ground out !!and all the spiders around the bolt holes !!!

Then this next pic is of a repair that someone did before me , and he put silacone in the hole the gelcoated over it

then this last pic is of the dash with out the contact paper on it , it wasnt hard to get off , just took a wire wheel to it and it came right off !!
