Ok everyone , well I got the pic of me trying to get apart the two pieces of composites apart !! man they are stuck !!

Today man it was a hot one out there , but it was really humid the epoxy took for ever I was only able to bet the two side stringers in and tab them in and then one coat of 7oz on there . I had my little one out there helping me hold it well lets just say she lost it and the pl premium went all over under the glass we got it back up but i got some grinding to do tomarrow before I go on !!

Its kind of hard to see its on the bottom of the pic , she tried !!!

Man ooohhh Man , with just the one layer of 7 1/2 oz of eglass and the epoxy the two stringer are pertty solid now !!1 I got a couple of spots ground out that i wanted to and I got the second layer of 7 oz on and she is drying now which is going to take the rest of the night , its raining out !!! I am going to put the center stringer in !! and then get that one started glassing that one in and get the last layer of the 10 oz on the outer stringers !!! Hope by tue, can start the foam !! I am going to pour the foam before i put the floor in , I got a piece of pkexy glass that I am going to put over after i pour and see how that goes !!

I am really seeing the end here , I want to put a 300 hp merc on the back of her now !!! hahaha that transom is really solid !!! and the top not even on yet !!! lol

This is what I found out about the cross braces.
The cross braces on my boat just had been cut into the top of the stringer wood and then they took a glop of fiberglass and secured them to the bottom of the boat by just sloppily folding up the glass to hold in in place. I think the only purpose is for bolting the floor down to. I'd probably give them a tab of glass to hold them from shifting... You could probably just get away with PL'ing them down.

When i took mine apart they were just sitting there not glassed or glued John

Hay all . i got the third layer of glass on the two outer stringers and also got the frist and second layers of glass on the center stringer!!!!! tomarrow get the last layer on, and cut the pvc tubing to run down the center, oohh yea and the cross members and the braces at the end get them glassed so still got some work to do before the foam. ok I got the center stringer glassed, and the rest of the braces on the transom are done !!! Heres a pic the wife took,john

If you guys noticed I dont have gloves on , they got a hole in them , the epoxy was allready all over my hands .. use gloves guys and gals !

ok guys and gals, 10 and a half on her today !!!! my back is just barking at me now !!! but i really got it going, got all the braces cut and fitted crossmenbers cut and fitted,the fuel floor cut and fitted, and got the PVC cut, epoxyed all the wood , and this is the big one got all that glassed in !!! YEEEAAA HAAAAA !!!!!!! lol
Tomarrow is foam and the DECK !!!!! OOOHHH MY GOD THE DECK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a god !! lol and summers not over yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK Everone, the DECK IS IN !!!OHH man spent about 4 hour pouring foam , I did use the plexaglass, sprayed it with pan ,and it work till a bunch started to rise, and the foam got stuck to it !! so after that just started to pour !!

tha frist pic is 2 quart I perrty much stuck with the 2 quarts all day so I could try to pour where i needed it and not get it too much over the stringers,

It did rise in spots over the stringer but it was real easy to cut with a hand saw

Ohhhhh man does that feel good , I did get the carpet but the epoxy has to dry, I painted about 3 quarts just on the top , and I still got 1 gallon of it left !!! started with 6 and a half !!

Carpet goes in after i get home tomorrow after work !! and for now going to throw in the old seats , we will be on the water sat, and i will buy a corona for you ooops and pop her for yea !!!!! John

Is there a downside to pouring first?

Nope I really dont see any , just maybe using the hand saw. I really think its better this way , you can hit all the spot that dont get the foam, in the pics you can see all the times I went back and just poured a little more where its needed!! so I dont really see a down side , maybe some one else can point one out ?? But i really dont see one !! john

K everyone, well got the seat out of the shed, and one of them the wood under her was just rotted , so had to make a new one , the vinyl isnt that bad but the wood was gone, so made that got the staple gun out and got it together, after fighting with the dang gun it keep getting stuck , but i got it !! got most of the marine tex sanded out cant really tell where the butt crack was except for the white line in the red gelcoat!!!!!!!

Then the rub rail , that took quit a while , getting all the screws in and then the rubber in !! man got a big blister out of that !! and pulled her out of the garage and on to the trailer!!!! man its been a long time !!!!

Ok we, yep me and jeremy !!! lol got the merc off the saw hourse !!1 now it a 100 hp merc. yea we got it off !! and got it on the boat !!!!!!!!!!!!!! got it all rigged, put some gas and oil in the tank , got the battery in and turned the key !!!!! she fired right up !!!!!!!! YYYYEEEEEEAAAA HHHHAAAAAAAA !!!!!!

Well by this time it was 9;15 and I didnt get the light back on , so she is sitting out in the driveway just waiting !!!!!! man that feels good !!! would have been better if we hit the lake , but I got a boat again !!!

Ok tomorrow I got to work till 6:30 , when I get home got to check the light on the trailer , seen a lose wire when i was finishing the rub rail , If i can get them going we are going to hit the water !!!!!! I got a boat again !!!! hehehehhahahahaha to coool !!!!

Thanks for all your guys help !!!!! couldnt have done it with out yea all !!!!!!! It not fiinshed yet , but she will float !!!!! and still got some season left !!!! John

OOOHH MY GOD,
All that work was it ever worth it now !!!

MAn that was just so cool !!! last year someone had to sit in the bow to get her down on plane . or it took FOREVER, Now man ohh man just push the throttle down and she jumps out of the water and on plane !! and book she really scoots !!! got to get the speedoo back in her and the lights on !! last year if two of us stood in the stern to lift the motor water would come into the splash well !!! now I think if all 5 stood there I still dont think it would happen !! and turn in the corners it was so smooth !!!!
We stopped in a fishin hole we hit last year made a few cast, but i didnt want to sit there I wanted to run her !!! there is a no wake zone in between the two big parts of Hollaway , we got to the other side and opened her up again , there was a 14 foot with a 65 evenrude on her , we ran to the top and passed them on the way , he was running south and use north , we made it to the top and turned and ran him down !!! man that was just too cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hitting it tomorrow when i get out of work !!!!!!!!! lol John

OHHH no I dont want it moved yet !!! thanks buddie , She really does have to be painted , and i have to fix the dash !!!!!1 and redo all the vinyl !!!

On this post the guys gave me some Stars, I didn't want to vote on it I wanted my friends out there to do it if they liked this thread !

This thread actually proves that all this hard work actually does pay off in the end.. and its not a huge project its a project that most of us going thru. an ordinary size vessel project.. not saying that oops and jserbs projects arent cool but most of us arent going to do that.. so i think it deserved the 5 stars and i hope others agree with me
