My favorite Aussie slang term is for a motor home. Combi is cool to me.

I'm not completely down on slang. I just feel it has its' place. When someone calls themself a journalist and is reporting something it isn't the place.

To me my truck is still a FoMoCO. An engine is still a plant, as in power plant. There are useful abbreviations like carb, shock, EFI, CDI, and prop. The important part is to allow people to know what you mean without looking like a moron.

This is a great boat ...I would buy it for the right price....but ...what the guy says is outrageous.... be on the water ini a week! (trailer bearing/brakes&tire repairs/engine overhaul or replace plus prob has missing parts/interior re-upholster and install/new carpet and prob needs some fiberglass work or more inside/gel coat needs 100 hours of polishing etc..mebbe the drive is good or bad who knows...(omc or chrysler 300 back there).all this can be done in a week? com'on Adam are you smoking the devils lettuce? lol (weed) :pyou are kidding RIGHT? I'd pay $700-1500 for it if the hull was good and wood inside solid etc.......anyways...read on! here's the ad

Cowling was melted down into the pull start. Also, the prop only had two of the three blades that were supposed to be there- they cut it off for a slower trolling speed... would that even work????

if it was a prop and a new engine cover only..

that is a sweet deal ..that motor would normally run about $1600 or more!!!!

of course if a bunch of electrical stuff got melted its a bad deal

an interprising( alebieth bastard) person might offer $300 and "i wont rat you out to the cops" ha ha ha ha

for the motor!!

NADA Low value on that boat is 1700 dollars. Good is 1900. I'm going to email him, tell him subtract 2000 for motor replacement (and thats a steal of a deal) and I'll give him $250 since it's on a trailer.

Not only that but I've never heard of four WINDS. I thought it was a four winns.

Thought this one was funny

We have a 14 ft fibreglass Malborough runabout boat with a Mercury 50 hp motor, 1980.

Good news is:
- new rebuilt starter for motor this year
- trailer in excellent condition, new tires two years ago
- 4 brand new boat seats put in last year
- comes with 2 year old boat cover

Not so good news is:
- motor conked out and since our kids are older and we don't have the time to use it,Something came through the back of the boat. we are not willing to put more money into getting it fixed. Could be easy fix, could be not so easy fix. Not sure but have priced trailers and seats and covers and this seems to be a good price for the whole thing

1980 Glen Coe 18 foot Jet boat. Its a fixer upper so it will need a little work but I do have a new Jet drive rebuild kit with new stearing and throttle cable to help get you started. The kit alone cost 500 bucks and thats not including the stearing and throttle cable. They wern't cheap. It also sits on a single axle traile that will ofcourse come with the boat. $975 come and get it! (435)229****

Motor actually look well taken care of, but "Barks with ether". In other words, he ran it without lubrication. Still has good compression. So far...

I will remove this posting in 4 hours. Boat is 14' aluminum, camo painted, very well built, very wide and deep. Good running 10HP Johnson, and excellent factory trailer with very good tires, good lights, new paint, etc. Everything is in good shape, it is priced too cheap in my opinion, but it is absolutely ready for the water. $775 CASH ONLY FIRM.
