This one has it all: 2 boats, trees growing out of them, broken glass, missing engines but with an estimated 100 MPH, and not one but two extra zero's in the price.

2 Boats for sale both rare 1 classic Glasstream & 1 Awesome Bomber

Rare and valuable, yet the person leaves them in a field to rot. This brings me to a recurring theme of this thread. When people take pictures of a boat they're trying to sell, they don't even bother to take junk or debris out of them prior to taking the pictures. The easiest way to get more interest in something is to at least tidy it up.

Re: Some people....

That's the best one I've seen on here in a long time.

I wonder why the floatation foam isn't keeping that boat partially above water???

it likely does not have any. While some boats in the 60's had it (Chrysler comes to mind) it was not required until the early 70's.

Might be too comfy. Flip on the big screen, grab a beer and lights out.:rolleyes:

Just goes to show how much influence Red Green really has. Looks like they gutted the 80's conversion van.

This guy has had this up almost all summer. He want's, $1k, it's probably not work $200, but he won't take that little, and he's going to charge $20/ mile to get it to you 1962 MFG Westfield w/1971 65hp Merc

I don't think he's offering to transport it, just stating a figure of what it might cost.

But it did supposedly run great in 2001!

Having owned a few older MFG boats, its quite possibly a solid old boat. If it is, his price is well within reason for a classic glass boat like that. I also believe that may have been the first year for the Westfield?
I sold a bare hull I had here last fall for way more than what he's asking, and mine was just a bare hull, no motor, no trailer, nothing. It took some time but the right buyer finally showed up. That buyer eventually hung a modern outboard to which he fitted a vintage hood to make it look the part, a brand new roller trailer, and he hunted down a set of original seats which he had restored. If it were closer to me, I'd probably take a look.

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

Around here, it's a sub ~$500 boat. Sitting since '01, unless it was dry storage, it did not do it well. I know they actually have composit stringers and less wood than others, but their is still wood in the transom and decks which is more than likely rotted.. + the fact he does not have legal title/ registration to either ( signed by person other than him ) also subtracts value.. He also has had it up since early spring and has not moved the price one bit...No doubt it could make a nice boat, but, without legal title, it's worthless..

Yea, I know he wasn't really offering but I found it odd that he actually put it in there
