I love these threads, I have a lot of craigslist stories.....like the guy that spent AN HOUR AND A HALF in my garage looking at a boat, then low balled me with "I'll write you a check right now". Yeah buddy I'm going to take a out of state personal check for $22,000.
Two of my favorites that some sellers list is the old "easy fix" if it's so easy (like replacing gas in this case) why not fix it yourself first. fail

When I looked at the boat the only thing that did not need tlc was the motor and steering wheel. The swim deck was rotted, the carpet was moldy and the seats were down to the foam. This boat needed every thing...
Oh yeah that's a good one too. Like that scene is my cousin vinny, "hey, could you get any farther away?". Those ads usually come with the phrase "MUST SEE!!!" If I must see, then why didn't you take better pictures??
That reminds me of another favorite line "runs great, just needs a starter" So it runs but it doesn't run....OK. Man this craigslist ranting is great therapy.
Before photographing his boat for sale, this knucklehead was too lazy to take out the patio furniture he was storing in the boat. Ad says the engine runs great. I wonder how many years it's been since it was started.
