http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/boa/3052595528.html A little tlc..haha....paid 11k for it...lmao.

Not to offend anyone, but I've seen homeless encampments in better condition....

When did the trailer break down? The Fall of 1982? Surely not last fall, 'parked over the winter', my arse..............

Even if I had a trailer &/or the exact same boat to restore, he'd still have to pay me quite a bit to haul that wreck off.

Maybe use it as a high school activity fund raiser: 2 minutes with a chainsaw, $10; or 5 min for $25, dusk masks provided:eek: Kind of like the old smash the junk car w/ a sledge hammer:cool:

ya i think its gonna take more than simple green bleach and a roll of papertowels to fix that mess. if he paid 11k i hope it was when he got it from the factory. well read it again. he said it dives good. prob where all the water came from:facepalm:

I have very limited info on this boat im selling it for my dad runs and dives but the the trailer broke down

crazy thing i see is the 14 on the registration sticker. can you imagine driving that around with seats in that condition? or diving it? lol. did they have reg stickers in 1914? looks like the last time it moved and was covered was closer to that time frame than 2014.

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

I just went through this for 3 months trying to find something worthy within my budget. Like Bubba says, sometimes it's just plain ignorance but it was obvious that some sellers just thought if they got you to come look at it, you might fall in love with their piece of junk.

What was amazing is how many sellers would place the ad on CL before even starting the engine for the first time in years. I had two guys call me on their cell phones hours later to have me listen to the sputtering beasts now come back to life. How 'bout the "just had it out last weekend" deals and you find the reggie ran out 2 years ago.

I found that "TLC" means "To Landfill, Chump!"

Well the crazy thing is I have seen that "Redneck jon boat" on CL for months, and he is asking $1500 for it. He must just be out of his mind. http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org...085429251.html

"If someone could pick it up and remove it for me it would be greatly appreciated. I could give you a few dollars if needed."

No prah, I'll be right over

Edit: I just showed this to Mrs QC and she said "well isn't that hull worth something?" Now I know why these people place these ads . . .

Edit 2: She just saw what I posted. Wish me luck
