Under the floor is almost done just need to trim one side stringer than start glassing

Hey guys my original plywood transom failed due to my error it rained really bad and i let water get into the plywood so i have been busy and cut out the transom and installed a thermolite transom

The splash well has been glassed back in, the transom is now as pictured awaiting undercoat 2k paint

Man, that last transom didn’t last long at all....good thing you didn’t post a YouTube video of that whole episode....I imagine there was quite a bit of swearing going on. :mad2:

Good to replace it now than to worry about it later. This is a very interesting build. It’s pretty cool watching how folks in other places do modifications. Especially when materials don’t seem to be as readily available as in the US.

Very much enjoying this thread.

Yeah the new transom laminate was punishing i had to laminate 1 layer of chopped mat and 1 layer of biaxial (we call it double bias) thats just to make 1 layer of your 1708 cloth

the thermolite board cost a fortune here too $500 for a 1 inch sheet

i'll post some more updates as i go

I took my mercury 90hp 4 stroke off the trailer today, tomorrow i'll mount it to the transom

Guys the engine is on and all my stringers and bulkheads are fibreglassed, i made a fuel tank floor and a bilge floor

Last 3 pictures show the pvc pipe being fitted in the drain holes i have 25 drain holes on this hull
