the pods laminate was but with 17 layers of 600gram woven roving, 900gram double bias 9like your knitted biaxial), 450gram chopped strand mat the total thickness came to 19mm on average that's about 3/4 inch thick i will upload video i forgot to upload my pics to laptop

I thought that screw driver was never coming out haha

plan is to bolt the bracket/pod to the transom with 8x 1/2inch bolts thru the perimeter lip on the bracket

weighs 21.4kg or just over 47 pounds

Worked on the chine stringers yesterday and today removed the old skins and what wood was left behind, just a little more sanding of the old flowcoat and the new stringers will go in

Ok so you are building a transom extension, I was wondering why the glass was so thick.

Are you bolting a jack plate on it to mount the motor ? My understanding is the height of pod per length of setback is pretty critical..

Nah no jack plate the outboard will be bolted to the green box u see we call them a outboard pod you guys call them a outboard bracket

My bulkheads are cut i just need to glue them in with resin and fumed silica than i will cut down the tops level with the stringers

the odd size box to the right will be a underfloor ice box or we call them a esky for the fish to go into a ice slurry

Tried to sand my pod/bracket and kept clogging the sander so i sprayed pva mould release over the fibreglass to cure it than i mixed up some fairing mix and applied that using polyester and qcell i'll sand it back tomorrow

you can see the fairing filled quiet a lot of small holes
