You should pick up some cabosil for your paste mix for the fillets ..Is really not very expensive an it will not retain water .
Im not sure If the sawdust will make the epoxy less runny . Thicker maybe but once you build the fillets it might start to slide out from around the sawdust .. In my mind anyway .. Maybe do a small batch and see how it acts before mixing a bunch up ..

Hmmm you would think you could find it locally . Aerosil , I think I spelled that right , is also just like cabosil .
A flooring company that does resinous/ epoxy flooring may have it .
Anything West System is gunna be pricey btw ...

Ebay.com.au is probably the cheapest i found the cabosil here its under that name and funed silica its all about $15 a litre its pricey

a 20kg or 36lb bag of talc is $22
a 50 litre or 90lb bag of saw dust is free

i had a bag of talc but i was mixing the epoxy next to the bag of talc on the bench and i didnt know the resin from the mixing sticks was running down the side of the bag, one day i needed to move the bag of talc and u guessed it bloody went everywhere lol i salvaged what i could but looking to use somethi g more friendlier as i read talc contains asbestos

Talc really absorbs water though . That’s why we always tell folks to stay away from regular bondo as a marine filler ..
That being said it may be ok mixed with epoxy as a fillet compound . Idk ..

Yeah i have read talc absorbs water but its ok with 2 layers of epoxy over it, i already bought epoxy cream 1 to 1 but its very runny just like honey and i cant keep it on the fillet

i will have to pay the cabosil ransom i think its $5 per litre but sneaky ebayer sells it as 1 litre batches and each additional purchase delivery cost is $8.95 lol so really its costing $14 a litre

Hopefully you won’t have to use as much adding it to the cream . You will find that you end up using quite a bit depending on how thick you want it to be ...

Thanks mate i just watched a youtube video it says to use the same volume of cabosil to resin

yesterday gluing down 1 stringer i probably used around 600-800mls maybe a little more worked out 2.5 large piping bags full of the epoxy cream

maybe a good idea to buy 1.5 litres of cabosil per stringer i have 7 of lol this is going to be costly...

thanks for your help and advice i will upload pics as i progress

Cut out the second stringer think i need to cut it back from the front i tried to extend this stringer beyond the old stringer right up the front but i need to cut it back to where the old first bulk head was because the strait plywood is not conforming to the slight bend in the hull where the chine runs up to the bow

check out my drill 28mm drill bit haha looks huge but it worked to drill out my bung hole

Making good progress !
Are you going to tie the ply butt joints together somehow ? I have seen scarf joints cut on single ply applications before ..
