Hey @aspeck , I flagged the stickies in the DIY/restoration forum. the links do not go to their intended target. If we need to get @colonel_sanders some pizza and coffee, let us know, we will be glad to chip in.

Yep, I saw that ... GA has been assigned to track down what needs to be changed there! Better him than me!

We are certainly going to have to get @colonel_sanders something! Maybe if we all just buy something from the store he will be happy?

BTW, @Scott Danforth , I saw your reported post because now we can see those on our cell phones! Another nice improvement!

Part of my assignment is building a stickie for that. LOL
Actually there shortages all over the web. I was looking at the Minn Kota site earlier today and every TM I looked at was out of stock.

Can anyone else see people's sigs on a phone?

Are you saying you can or you can't. Check Preferences by clicking your username up top and then click Preferences. 5th checkbox down is to show or not show sigs.

Do you have view signatures checked in your profile preferences?

I didn't, but just changed it on my profile. Refreshed page and still no sigs on my cell when I hold it in portrait mode. Rotate my phone 90* to landscape mode and bam, sigs show....

Qwerk of mobile platform optimization I figure....

I dont mind condensed no sig.format on my cell, swapping it back to no sigs

Yup, exactly that. Rotating it shows them. Rotating also shows who the last post was from (which I commented on earlier)

No sigs on mobile device... only on ‘puter...
Not quite, see above. Plus I'm getting good at multi quotes

We had a reported problem a while back in the old forum. It's a lack of available phone screen space. If it's squished down to see everything in portrait, it's unreadable, so only the left side is displayed. Sigs are full width, so instead of showing a partial sig, it drops them. Rotating the phone makes a wider screen, so everything shows up.

If just rotating to landscape shows all without a refresh, it means the phone has the data and it's the phone clipping the right side.

Working multi quotes saves a lot of copy/paste time. :)

Can't check the written post prior posting. Post Reply is only available. Is it possible to add a small window under the attached files/pics as the previous page used to have so to add a brief text. Although a pic is much better than 1 K written words a small text description under it will surely help to count with a better illustrated post.-

Thank you for sticking with us through all the downs (was going to say ups and downs, but I couldn't think of any ups) of the VB updates!
As of now, the only way to know what has been posted since you last visited iboats is the "New Posts" listing. There is a line across where the new posts ends and the old posts begin.

I just noticed today that folders with new posts have titles in bold; that's a great development! I much prefer browsing through individual forums to look at new topics, so this is much appreciated!

I have to say, I'm very impressed with how smoothly the transition has been. After years of the VB debacle, I have been trained to expect constant problems with the forums, but happily I have not noticed anything major. I know there has been a lot of work continuing behind the scenes to get everything working again, and I really appreciate it. It's so nice to be able to come to iboats and just read topics and not have to endure all the VB problems and workarounds. Hats off to all who have made this work. It's so much nicer!

Do you know that we haven't had a post in this section about the constant need to log in?

The guys in the back room are still working on what's called the style or what is presented while viewing and using the forum. Along with the bold for threads with new posts, the default font has been made darker to make reading easier on the eyes and we can use BOLD to draw attention to readers.

Even with help from XenForo, many internal things are like the posts we get about unmarked switches on a dashboard. What does this one do? Oops, flip it back. :)

I haven't had to log in since the update was finished. Interestingly, I had to use my old password. No matter.
I really like the darker text in the threads. Works great.

So much better in all aspects . Has anyone figured out how to jump to last read post, not last post made.

All you have to do is click on the topic title in the sub-forum list. It takes you right to the first new post since you last were here. (Formerly, we had to click on a little icon next to the title; now, you just click on the title.)
