My technique is getting better but it seems that the boat is a rock now. Here is where I am at.
working on seat bases next.

Thank you KC trying hard and appreciate all the advice you all have given. Since I'm getting more comfortable with the glassing process I am planning on going over the stern area again more for looks but I want to make sure everything is as sound as possible.

Just a little update. Giving the rear seating area pieces a first coat while I redo parts of the transom area like I said in a prior post.
Had a kink in my plans for today being my well pump died, thank goodness I didn't start grinding by then because it would have been one long itchy night! :D

I have a question for you all in regards to the resin. When I purchased my 5 gallon buckets the resin was green even though it was said to come as a purple color. I purchased gallon jugs and it was purple.
Could there have been an issue with the buckets of resin?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Finished regrinding the transom area. I'm glad I am redoing this area because for some reason the last 2 layers weren't adhered as good as they looked.

Not yet. I'm going to try again soon. I'm glad I asked maybe that was why I was having such a hard time.

Yea it'all about temps. So in the heat of summer the purple will react/dry faster.
Green with higher temps will give you more time to work with the resin.

Well I covered the Transom with PB to make a smooth surface then will cover again with 2 layers of 1708. Will be super strong compared to what it was.
