Installed 3/4 of the stringers and PB'd. Since my smoothing skills are much to be desired i plan on making a batch of PB with a lot less chopped strand to smooth the transition out for the cloth. I hope to start this later tomorrow once I install the remainder of the stringers and bulkheads.

This project is totally different than anything I have done before but I am actually enjoying it very much and keep thinking about the satisfaction when I have her in the water for the first time!

I can't believe how strong this PB mix is, it sat overnight and the stringers won't move and the bulkheads and cloth still need to be done. FEELING GREAT! :tea:

Just a small morning update, took yesterday off was a bit sore from the long workout on the boat but this morning I ran a layer of CSM on the transom area and will follow with a few layers of 1708.
one thing I forgot to mention is I found that if you find a rough area of pb the CSM really helps to smooth it out.

Well it turned out to be much warmer than forecast so I went ahead and did more glass. Second section of floor laid with PB and stainless hardware along with laying cloth over the last of the stringers and bulkheads plus coated the bottom of the last two sections of floor.
I Was a good husband and did some honeydo stuff too so all in all a good day!

Mr. Dude you have a slop fest going on there with the glass work. You need to work on your technique.

Looks like where you glassed you only wetted out the wood where you glassed. The whole pc. should be wetted out prior to glassing. Make sure all edges are wetted out and filled.
Prior to glassing wet out the area being glassed. If not the glass will pull the resin out of the wood. Also the glass ends up looking starved for resin if the wood draws it in cause its not wetted out.

Kcassells in your opinion can different types of plywood require more or less resin prior to glassing?

My very limited experience says that you'll want to always go by feel. Some surfaces definitely take more resin than others before it's ready for your lay up. Thing that might affect the viscosity of the resin can also affect it.

The main concern would be resin-starved glass, which would compromise the integrity of your work. As long as you avoid that, even if it's a bit rough around the edges, you will be fine.

Generally speaking they are to be finished to certain specs. to meet the code acx, bcx, cdx etc. But I would agree that all
are not equal when stamped. So yup.
Like Sopwith says above.
