I'm going to salvage them this year but research after the rebuilding is complete. The front upholstery just needs a good cleaning but no tears. The side panels is good but wood rotted so its falling apart with the rear seating has some cracking as well as the rear cover.
it's not bad for 32 years old but I will definitely redo what needs to be done especially after everything I did she deserves to look decent. How many of these boats are around water worthy. :happy:

Very much so I appreciate you asking, would they have patterns or would I have to ship the seats?
in the meantime what would be the best way to preserve them till then?

Hello everyone I have a question about buoyancy foam. What weight foam do you all most commonly use in your boats?

Thanks,
Jim

2# foam is what you would use. 4# is more for structural.
Here is a good read link;
http://www.*****************/foam.html
2 LB Density Urethane Foam
(U.S. Coast Guard Compliant Marine Foam)
Common Applications: Our 2LB density marine foam is recommended for void filling in nonstructural applications. This product can be poured underneath decks and inside cavities where a lightweight flotation foam is needed to provide buoyancy. This foam has been tested in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard Regulation # 33 CFR 183.114 . This foam is approximately 95-98% closed cell which resists absorbing water, however continuous water submersion can eventually lead to loss of buoyancy over a period of years.

** We recommend the 2LB FOAM strictly for flotation applications. If looking for a liquid foam for sculpting or casting we recommend using at minimum our 3LB or 4LB density.**

Thanks Chris.
I figured but just wanted to double check because of how secure it is now. Just getting anxious to get the motor back in and apply the gelcoat.
