1. some of my poly is still sticky too, but more so due to lack of temp than anything else. A 500 watt light close to the work is curing it up. If your garage is 82 degrees then maybe you need to coat the tacky stuff with a finishing layer of poly (wax included) or seal it off from air so it can fully cure? Was that elmers poly you bought a finishing poly with wax included? (i think the stuff at lowes IS finishing resin and has the wax from what I have read, Lowes site is down right now). I would fix the stickyness before painting, but maybe the paint will seal it off from air and let it cure? I am not sure.

2. You are interchaging the words Poly and Epoxy and it is confusing me, Jay :)

3. Cool drill mod, cheaper than my drill doo-dad.

4. Are you going to get a new transom seal for the gimbal housing? If so where?

5. Where are you getting your Durabak?

1. The sticky thing worked itself out. I guess it just needed another day to cure, but now it is not sticky at all. I am not sure about the elmers stuff, but it is baby butt smooth on the floor. I will just run my belt sander over it to give it some key for the durabak to stick too.

2.My bad on the epoxy poly thing, I was mixing the terms. I used all poly on this job.

3. Thanks, it was not my idea. I saw it on another post.

4. Yes I need to get one, but I do not know where to get one.

5. There are two places that sell it that I have found on the internet. One is a little cheaper than the other, so I am not sure which one I will use.

I am going to try and paint the bilge tonight

Great video Frisco. Very informative. Can't wait to see it come back together. I hope you don't have issues with that sticky resin.

FYI, incase u don't know..... West marine will price match to online stores, print out what you need at a cheaper place and take it in. We got our interlux perfection from them for almost half off.

Give yours a ring first to make sure they will price match.

I know, that stuff amazed me. It also dried really quick. Second coat will go on today.

Bilge looks great dude!

Painting sure makes all the hard work seem worth while!

That part under the dash looks like some type of signal amplifier / heat-sink. I'm sure once you trace the wires to their destination, it will reveal the answer.

Great job man!

That Bilege looks awesome!

I wish I could work on mine :( Too cold outside to lay the LITTLE bit of glass I need to finish up the stringers.

There is one in Lewisville. That is not too far.

That one is close to my work. I went by there to pickup a roller the other day.
