I never realized how time consuming and thankless trailer work was until I re-did the trailer for the Sea Scamp. Now I can appreciate your work. Looks good Mike.

Great work on the trailer. You have the patience of Job to dismantle that thing piece by piece but I think it will be worth it. I am a little depressed knowing now I have to do my trailer after I'm done the boat. You guys set the bar high.:D

Some progress on the trailer. Glad to be back in town, St. Louis was fun.

The photos are a bit blurry, sure wish I hadn't run over the camera with the Polaris quad...

Is that some kind of non skid on top of the fenders? If so, where'd ya get it?

Trailer is looking good, looking forward to more boat pics!

I need some of that too. I was looking at going to a skate board shop as they do the decks of skate boards in that stuff too.

Thanks Yooper, I think the fenders are gonna stay grey for the time being.

Not sure if my paint prep dept wants to tape off everything again:)

Thanks BH, hopefully it looks this way for a few years. Not sure if the adhesion is up to standard or not yet.

Don thanks for the kind words, after working on 4 boat trailers I agree 100%.:)

RG you are too kind:)

These old boats deserve a decent trailer. I do wish I'd gotten the trailer done first thing like some folks.

It's no fun working on it when the boat could be in the water.

Hi DJ, thanks for stoping by:)

The grip stickers were on the fenders when I got the rig.

They are still stuck on pretty good so I decided to keep them.

My paint lines aren't very good and it needs some touch-up to look clean.

I need some of that too. I was looking at going to a skate board shop as they do the decks of skate boards in that stuff too.

That's a good idea Sprint, the stuff I have on there is just like a skateboard.

I did buy some rubber diamond-plate step pads too, but I'm not sure they would adhere as well.

I might test them out and see if I can add then to the fender brackets since I'm too heavy to step on the fenders:D

I found some black non-skid tape at Lowes. It was with the rest of the tape in the paint dept. My experience is it doesn't hold up all that well but it was cheap if memory serves.

Happy birthday Mike.

Thanks buddy! I'm two years older than the boat;)

I got out on the river last night and we had some good action with Northern Pike.

We even made it back to shore in time to see Verlander and the Tigers beat the Yankees:D:D

Glad to hear you got to have some fun on the B-day. Someone illegally introduced Northern Pike in a few lakes around the state here in Maine. There really getting established and its wiping out the native land locked salmon, Brook trout and everything else in its way. I'm sure there fun to catch but if I do get one its not going back.

Since I managed to spray paint stripper all over the trailer lights, I went out and bought two replacement faces.

Tractor Supply had them for $2-3.

I also picked up a few other items for the trailer so it was worth the trip:)

HA - It's been so long since you worked on the SS, I've forgotten where you are with her :). But the trailer is looking good :D. At least it's a Starcraft now.
