Great looking keel! And the patch too!

Thanks JB....

Keel looks great ! With all the setbacks on the hull you have sure whipped it right back into shape !
Well done Troop !

Thanks Sp...but still have mnore to do...I ran out of gas..air...and daylight...got alot to do this week to have it ready for this weekends attempt at gel...

Troop, that patch is EXCELLENT!!! Hope the weather cooperates for the Gelcoating.

Thanks WoG...still have to sand it down tomorrow, but it should be above flush so little or no fairing needed....I hope...as for weather, thinking it will..but it being fall..I think I need to worry about leaves falling in it...might have to put the tarp back up...

That looks pretty smooth to me. I know the feeling of sore Troop up here in the noth my body is going through it's seasonal weather change aches and pains for all the dumb things I have done over the years.
Ya I heard it was cooling down up that way...not looking forward to that part... ;)

Keel looks smooth as a baby's bottom...!

Sending good mojo your way for the gelcoat

Thanks Patrick..need all the mojo I can get :)

hit the highspots on this one...looks like it will be high enough this time...
DSCF0140.jpg

then hit all the chine/strake places I had filled over the weekend...I swear I think I will never be happy with those..have filled/sanded some places like 5 times I bet..maybe more..

Then while I was up on the boat the neighbor was getting ready to trash a couch...and I scored these...

Your work is great as always. Nice score on the foam.
Maybe this weekend will be warm enough for you to spray.
I hate that the sun is going down so fast after work. I am lucky if I get home by 6:00 and its getting drak about 7:00.
Oh well with all the holidays coming the Admiral will want to go shopping all the time. :D

Hey trrop,

I kinda missed the foam thing. Using the "View First Unread" gets screwed up if I log in on my cell phone during the day. I had to go back and see what everyone was talking about. Good grab!

BTW, when you start spraying gel coat, take note of how the breeze affects the overspray. I've heard its heavy and mostly falls to the ground. I'll have to figure out how much tenting I'll have to do to protect the other boats around me. I'll be waiting to hear your experience with the overspray.

Sea ya...

Trooper, your project is coming right along. You are doing a super duper job. I am looking forward to reading up on several threads over the next week or so between house hunting. Somehow everyone seems further along that I thought they were, MUCH further. Not sure how that happened. Oh well, I seem to have lost my cleaning lady too. Guess these things just happen as we get older.

Hey, thanks for the info on bending the rails, I was wondering how they did that. I might as well replace those too while I am at it, they only have 100 or so holes in it.

Nice find on the cushions trooper, my nephew told me a few weeks back he was building a couch for his man cave. I told him about woodonglass finding old couches and re purpose sing the cushions. By the way, if you happen on one of those old machines hanging on a sign, give me a call. Despite the thought that I am aging and this might be my only boat project, I seem to be getting that virus you all have. I am beginning the hunt for my next project, BUT I AM STRICTLY LOOKING RIGHT NOW! Shhh, don't tell the boss.

Trooper, you really gotta make this your icon photo. Nice looking guy! Oh, great looking work too. ;)

Ok, so I just finished catching up on this thread. Trooper what can I say other than YOU ARE THE MAN. Your skills are awesome: computer, wood working, boat rebuilding, welding, and the list goes on. I love that you get the grand kids and wife involved. Awesome table. Dang, other than taking care of yourself is there anything you can't do great? Hope you are still feeling better. Don't forget that you are extremely important to your wife, kids, and especially your grand kids. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Great job on the videos too. I have truly learned a lot from your progress and look forward to seeing this one end and the next one start. I can see it already, you got the bug. ;)

PreHumpday update...did a little more sanding...got 4 or 5 spots sanded down smooth that needed it....got a few more to do tomorrow...

I've been thinking alot lately about how nice it would be to have a place like this for the Ebko...32x30...would fit real nice in there....

I have a garage to work in, but it is not heated, and I am rarely home to work on it.
weather.jpg
This is the weather chart for where I live. Red is record High, yellow average high, LT blue average low, and the dark on the bottom, record low.

I think I need a heater. Sorry to Hijack troop.
