Nice work you have done on the boat so far trooper, read the whole thing.
Can't imagine working in the heat that you do, and not to mention the rain. must be a pain.

I started this morning about 7:00 am, just now 12:00 and on my third break. Been sanding the tops of stringers and just finished. My shirt and other clothes are soaked with sweat and to beat it all...it is actually cool today.

Going to grab a bite to eat, then vacuum the dust up again. Depending on the way it looks, I will either put some resin on the remaining bare spots of wood and wash it out, or just go ahead and cap the stringers with fiberglass.

I think tomorrow I may actually be fitting deck pieces...woo hoo!

It didn't stay cool too long...at least under the plastic...hitting 114 right now...

I think I can be ok with this..

It isn't perfect, but hey it's a boat right?
I will be using cleats anyway and still have to put glass over these...

Still too much dust for my liking, so going to spread out some resin and give her a bath....Who knows I may even spray myself too...

Yeah, something, worked Memorial Day weekend...

Just got back from working out of town, 3 monster 15+hr days w/ a 3hr drive on either end:facepalm: But it needed to be done, & now it is, so..... If I can muster some energy, I may get some work done on a boat or 2 around my place..... Else, I have officially notified everyone involved that I will be off & out of touch June 23-July 1 and boat work will be the primary objective.....

Stringers all look good... When you say you'll use cleats, are you talking along the hull at the edge of the deck? Or along the sides of the stringer's top edge?

Stay hydrated, and not just with the frosty adult beverages that have a water component.... Have a great weekend...

Along side the stringers and bulkheads.

Not all of them, just places that need every bit of help I can to get the span to be minimum as possible.

Yup, staying very hydrated...been averaging 2 gals or more a day...

What a long day!

14 hours give or take a few minutes...

Got the eldest grandson to come out and give me a hand...that explains these pics....

This is the first rendition of the first deck piece...went together nicely...but I made a change and had to remake it..

Contemplating what I am going to do about the curve in the rear there....

I used a piece of scrap wider than the gap...pushed it against the transom and made a line...just for a reference point.

Must have worked because we are on piece #3!

You can see my original marks on the taper....I cut it big on purpose, wanted to sneak up on it and check before making final cut. My marks were right on the money..ended up using them.

All three....yes I need to make room for the motor yet....I wanted to see what it would look like if it had an outboard
