Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

Ya I was thinking it must be there for some reason tuther..

Only thing I can think it might be was for stapling the carpet in place, because that is all it was doing. Maybe some hull integrity. I may have enough 1708 left over to run it up the sides. I do not plan on carpet. If I do carpet it will be the kind that doesnt need a staple to keeps it's place if you know what i mean.

And yes I have heard there may be more supplies a comin'.

Gus you are so right...there is no place like home......no place like home...

Dan didn't work....it is still there. :)

Come on Friday!!!!

Did the carpet get stapled to the foam too?

If you're not covering the 1708 w/ carpet, CSM finishes smoother, but it'd need to be after the 1708, not instead....

Good luck getting thru & over the hump day tomorrow....

Man, that sucks you have more grinding to do. Atleast you found it before you put all the new wood and hard work into it. I bet you are getting excited to start building it back up.

Seems there was a pack of those pesky raccoons hit the thread awhile back if I recall....

Of course you know they are all directly related to that doood Murphy...

Murphy pops up in some of the most unexpected times for sure...

I love grinding, what you talking about?

But yes ready to get started on the restoration part of this..

I do not see how folks like GT1M, FriscoBoater....anyone else that has spent hours under a tarp in the south do it.....Respect!

Only 86ish this evening...

And I only lasted around 2 hours... Pulled my shirt off and you would have thought I got out of the lake or something.

But I did manage to finish one side...more tomorrow.

Phsyic? No, but mostly cause I have no idea what that might be, but can't be good...:D

Physic? Again, no. I think I'm allergic to physical work, unless it's boat work, and evidence to the contrary is extremely thin.

Psychic? No, else the skillet & frying pan show would have been vigorously avoided, and the MBS could definitely be curbed.

Touched: Yes, ask the Admiral, she'll 'splain it to you. Slowly & using small, easy to understand words, just like when she talks to me:rolleyes:

Psycho: Technical analysis incomplete, results pending:p

Only because you asked: 5__6__10__23__25__28

Good luck, I want a cut if it pays off HUGE! Gotta be in it to win it....

That is where I ended up geting most of my stuff. Only issue with them is the bulky sizes you have to buy.

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

haha i figured you used them... yeah i am buying whole roll of CSM through them which is actually cheapest price around 153 dollars is what they quoted me on paper... and the Biax 1708 is about 550 but the resin is the cheapest too since its local it costs about 105 bucks a 5gal pail!!
Buy thier acetone too.. its about 55 bucks for a 5 gal. pail.. comes out cheaper than home depot, or lowes or ace hardware...
The only thing that i didnt see as a necessity to buy from them and i will go with US Composites is the Chopstrand fibers 1/4"... they dont carry 1/4" only 1/8" and its a 10lb bag! lol
Good luck on your restore buddy i will be right here keepin an eye out

Just catching up with the thread.
You did a really good job on the grinding. The heat will take it out of you.
I'm not sure what the extra foam and plywood was for, but I agree with JB about replacing it back like it was.
Don't retire that zoot suit just yet. There is always some kind of rough and scuff going on. I did some last night.
Looking forward to seeing you do some glass work.

Thanks Decker. I agree that it needs to go back, but no foam. I will go with ply throughout. Trust me, I am excited to get started myself.
